error: Error 15212: The QuickBooks update did not complete successfully. Why this is happening quickbooks error 6000 These errors can be caused by a shared download drive that is not mapped, is not accessible, or has insufficient access permissions. How to fix it These steps describe how to to receive an immediate update (a temporary measure), and how to resolve the issue permanently. Note: If you use the temporary measure, you will not be able to share the update with others To receive an immediate update: Follow the step below for your version of QuickBooks: QuickBooks 2013 and later: Select the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks. Click the Options tab. Make a note of the exact path shown for the Download Location. (If the path ends in "...,": move your mouse over the path. A window will appear with the full path.) Click No for the Shared Download setting, click Save, and then click Close. Download the update again. For a permanent resolution to ensure that you can share future updates: Verify that the download location you noted in step 1.c is mapped. Note: Mapped drives always begin with a letter (for example, "E:\data\DownloadQB15"). Unmapped drives begin with "\computer name" (for example, "\Joy Computer\data\DownloadQB15"). For instructions about how to map a drive, see HOW12276. Use Windows Explorer to browse to the download location. The mapped drives will be listed as "Data on [Name] Computer (E:)." Verify that you have sufficient access permissions by creating a new folder in the DownloadQB15 folder listed in the path. For example: If the path is "E:\data\DownloadQB15," open the DownloadQB15 folder, select New from the File menu, and then select Folder. If you receive any permissions messages when creating this folder, contact your system administrator about editing your permissions. Download the update again. If you are running Windows 8, 7 or Vista and the error displays: In QuickBooks, press the F2 key to open Product Information. The Location should show C:\user\public\public documents\intuit\QuickBooks\Companyfiles\companyfile.qbw. Close the Product Information window, and the company file. From the File menu, click Open or Restore Company, click Open a Company file radio button and click Next. Brow

Every program (even QuickBooks) is running great and I have network connectivity internally and externally. 0 LVL 8 Overall: Level 8 QuickBooks 3 Message Expert Comment by:theodorejsalvo2010-06-01 Make sure
