Starter Joined: May 13, 2010 Messages: 23,596 Likes Received: 14,435 so it seems that a few of you guys out there are having issues with getting your sd card being seen by your pc. so here is the sd card not detected android fix solution. but first this is not my solution. i take no credit for this. the original sd card not detected in android phone thread can be found here: [ How-To ] Fix SD card not being detected & USB port not working this will work for non htc desire sd card not working rooted phones as well as rooted ones. and here is what you will need to do: 1.download these files: adb.exe fastboot.exe AdbWinApi.dll 2.create a folder and call it android(you can call it anything you want really) and move the micro sd card not detected android files over to the folder 3.on your phone go to settings>apps>uncheck fastboot 4.connect your phone to the pc via the usb cable 5.power the phone off then press and hold power+vol down. 6.this will take your phone to the bootloader select fastboot(not the same thing in the phone's settings) 7.the bootloader menu should change from fastboot to fastboot usb 8.next on your pc, you want to open the command window with path directed to the android folder. if you are

on windows 7 you can just right click while holding down the shift button and then select open command window here. 9.in the command window enter this command: Code (Text): fastboot oem enableqxdm 0 then press enter 10.next enter this command: Code (Text): fastboot reboot this should fix your sd card not being recognized. Placed folder on desktop for whatever reason) followed all other directions and the command window tells me that 'fastboot is not recognized as an internal or external command'. For some reason the sd card is not being recognized on my laptop...even though, it worked Saturday. I grabbed a file from it and placed it on my laptop, deleted the file from the sd card. And now doesn't work. When I hook it up to the laptop, the prompts pop up and then tells me it failed. (unknown device....code43). USB debugging on/off, fastboot unchecked. When the Evo 4G boots back up, the phone will not "mount" the card--the phone will no longer recognize that the microSD card is installed. The phone thinks that I need to install a card when a card is actually present in the phone.Initially I thought this was a fluke, so I restarted the phone again. But no joy, the phone would not recognize that the card was physically present. So, I investigated further. I removed the microSD card from the phone, put the card in an adapter and connected it to my Windows 7 PC to see what the problem was with the card. Windows 7 reported that card required formatting, which I then performed.After the card formatting was completed, I re-installed the microSD card back into the Evo 4G and powered the phone back up. Everything went as it should--the phone recognized the card and I was able to copy music files and photo files back onto the card.So, this time when I shut down the phone, I selected "Power Off" from the pop-up menu instead of "Restart".
