Ever gotten this error after unplugging your BlackBerry from your computer? A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors. To how to repair corrupted sd card correct the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer. My first reaction when I got this error was “CRAP what about all my pictures!” Then I realized it is a simple as plugging your BlackBerry into your PC and running CheckDisk to fix the errors. Some of you may not have realized that so I thought I would share. Plug your BlackBerry into a Windows computer and turn on mass storage mode if it is not already turned on Open My Computer. Right-click the appropriate Removable Disk. Click Tools, and then click Check Now. Select Automatically fix file system errors, and then click Start. Things should work just fine after that! At least it worked the last two times I got this error. Not sure if there is a way to do this on a Mac but let me know! I personally think it sucks that RIM cannot just include the disk checking utility on your BlackBerry since your only option from the device is to format it completely and lose your data… Tags: Contains ErrorsDisk CheckingError CheckingMicroSD Card Previous Post Free Harley Davidson Storm Theme Next Post JConverter 2.0: Free App Gets a Facelift For OS 4.6.1+ Devices Share this article with your friends! 2 Comments Google may have removed support for SD cards since Ice Cream Sandwich was released a couple of years back, but some OEMs like Samsung still continue to include an SD slot in its devices https://appuals.com/best-guide-steps-to-fix-a-corrupt-sd-card-via-chkdsk/ to support expandable storage. Having an SD slot in your mobile device brings a lot of advantages: you don’t have to worry about the internal storage of your device being taken up because you can store your images, movies, music, documents, and/or contacts on the SD card. Sad to say, this can also lead to problems with the SD card, particularly with the content stored on the card getting corrupted. While there may be programs sd card and apps that can be used to retrieve corrupted data, these same apps and programs need to be set up before any corruption occurs. In my case, I have used chkdsk in the past and while I don’t guarantee that using this method will let you retrieve everything in your corrupted SD card, you might get lucky and salvage some of what was lost, and more importantly, prevent any more corruption from happening. Insert the corrupted SD card into a memory card reader and plug the data cable of the card reader into your computer’s USB port. Make sure though that the card is not write-protected as this will prevent the computer from accessing the contents of the card. Once the memory card has been inserted into your computer, a window will pop up showing the name of the card and asking you if you want to open the contents of the card or transfer any files. Simply close that window out. PRO TIP: If the issue is with your computer or a laptop/notebook you should try using the Reimage Plus Software which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files. This works in most cases, where the issue is originated due to a system corruption. You can download Reimage Plus by Clicking Here Click Start on your Windows taskbar, and open “Computer.” Look for your SD card under “Devices with Removable Storage” and take note of the drive letter assigned to it. We’ll need this information later on when we use the chkdsk program. 2. On your computer, click Start and type “cmd” on the “Search programs and files” text box
