If the database is in local server then its worked fine.(i.e table is in local server database). Why is this happening so? viv. Both of the above must be true for IB6. -- Bill Todd (TeamB) viv Delphi Developer 2005-07-14 12:33:30 PM Re:Error reading data from the connection "Bill Todd"
this shows up repeatedly with some particular query, try with latest Firebird version. If the problem still occurs, contact the developers, as it it most probably a bug in Firebird. Please note that other instances of Firebird server are available when one of them crashes. If you are using the SuperServer, the entire server would crash, but it would be http://www.delphigroups.info/2/1/598272.html restarted automatically (either by the Firebird Guardian or by the system if you run it as a system service under Windows). If you use Classic, only one instance would crash, while others would keep running. In both cases, Firebird server is available for subsequent connections, so this may trick http://www.firebirdfaq.org/faq96/ you into thinking that server did not crash. You can find Firebird newsgroups on here: http://www.ibphoenix.com/ibp_groups.html - try the error reading data ib-support group. It could be a network problem. Do you have a virus scanner running on the server (also checking the database file) or anything else accessing the file directly? Are there any 'interesting' messages in the log file. When posting to the Firebird newsgroup, be sure to state the version of Firebird, OS for server and client, the "connect string" and any info you may think is relevant. Regards, Aage J. The program is developed using Delphi 5 and IBObjects components. The program do several queries and several inserts to the database. It all works fine some days but occasionally we encounter the error: ISC ERROR CODE:335544726 ISC ERROR MESSAGE: Error reading data from the connection. Why does this happen? And what can we do to solve it? // Sven 0 Question by:svenj Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 19 Best Solution byNickUpson it means the server process has crashed, the problem is to find the cause.
