The Connection To The Server Was Interrupted Outlook 2016
recently encountered the error message: "Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)". Checked the settings: confirmed same on all accounts: Incoming server (POP3): 995, Outgoing server (SMTP): 465, SSL setting set for both incoming sending reported error 0x800ccc0f outlook 2007 and outgoing. Tried deleting the account, adding back, but no success. Have scanned the forums (and google) for many days, see similar issues, but none with suggestions that will correct. I am able to access this email account using webmail, iphone, ipad, just not with Outlook. Not sure if this is relevent: the account not working is my apple account email....some posts suggest that this may be related to icloud? Note: I do not use icloud, and have not set up or configured. Any help is very much appreciated. I tried to Send and https://community.norton.com/en/forums/0x800ccc0f-connection-server-was-interrupted Receive in Outlook2007 but I always receive the error message when trying to receive E-mails: "... Receiving reported an error: 0x800CCC0F 'The connection to the server was interrupted'". If I switch off Scanning of incoming E-mails in Antivirus settings, everything is all ok, I receive E-mails. If I switch it on, same error message occurs, no incoming E-mails. It is very annoying that I just purchased the latest Antivirus product and it still has this error what was reported already years ago for Antivirus 2007. Is there any workaround to scan incoming mails and still to be able to receive E-mails in Outlook without any problem? I do not have this problem on XP only on Vista. I have looked into earlier forums and MS Knowledge base but I have not found any solution for Vista and Antivirus 2009. Any workaround very welcome....
