I just got my household unable to goods last week and sat down and decided I wanted to play some WoW. Everything was going smoothly until I decided to re-sub my second account and level my Priest. When I tried to log in I couldn't get past the "connecting" portion of the log in screen. Eventually I received an error that read "Unable to unable to connect connect battle.net error #114" I did some research and discovered that it was my ISP's DNS server that was having connectivity with the US battle.net log in server. This was easily fixed by following these steps:1. Right-click "Network" on the bottom right of your task bar.2. Open Network and Sharing Center3. Click on "Change Adapter Settings" in the upper-left corner4. Right-click on your network adapter and select "Properties"5. Select "Internet Protocol Version 4"6. Click "Properties"7. Select "Use the following DNS server addresses"8. Enter 8.8.8.8. in the preferred DNS server line and 8.8.4.4. in the alternate DNS server line (this is the address of the Google Public DNS Server)9. Select "Validate settings upon exit"10. Click "OK"11. Click "Close"12. Log in to WoWNow, the first time I had this issue, this worked perfectly for me. One attempt, and the issue was solved for the next few days. Until I rebuilt my rig last night...When I did the rebuild, I had to reinstall Windows, and subsequently World of Warcraft.
