Is this on the same computer as when you build from Visual Studio? –Marcel Gosselin Feb 4 '10 at 0:00 I'm not building from Visual Studio at the moment, since the development process here is to use MSBuild. But yes, all the files are on my machine and it's building the same project/solution files. –jonathanconway Feb 4 '10 at 0:02 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 10 down vote accepted From a user comment in Infragistics forum archive install as the Sysadmin for "All Users" and then the user will develop and compile their app. Here is a workaround but unfor

Prettyunpredictable too, surely not your fault # 1p newsgroup_archive1p 12 years, 11 months ago After upgrading from the regular C1Studio to C1Enterprise and applying the latest updates, I'm getting the following license http://our.componentone.com/groups/topic/license-error-after-update-lc0004-exception-occured-creating-type/ error at compile time: ---E:Visual Studio Projectsceo_cvsBasecamp .NETCeoimage.Basecamplicenses.licx: Could not transform licenses file 'licenses.licx' into a binary resource. (3) : error LC0004 : Exception occured creating type 'System.IO.FileNotFoundException'--- The stranger part is that the my build is output and runs fine. I'm fully prepared to take the blame for a sloppy install, but I need to learn how to fix this now and avoid it in the future. Licenses.licx is already an "Embedded Resource", so I'm not sure how to fix this problem. Can anyone help? # Viewing 2 posts - 1 through 2 (of 2 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic. When I tried to rebuild my solution, I got the following error from VS.NET: "c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ProjectName\licenses.licx Could not transform licenses file 'licenses.licx' into a binary resource. (1) : error LC0004 : Exception occured creating type 'System.ComponentModel.LicenseException' " A. This problem often occurs when the Visual Studio mistakenly adds the LICX file as part of the project, manually deleting it from the 'Solution Explorer' will solve the problem. Note: In some cases, it is possible for this file to be part of the project, but not visible in the 'Solution Explorer'. In this case you have to open theproject file in your project folder (it is a plain XML file containing your project settings), search for entry for the LICX file and delete the found entry.
