While I see you have some history here, I also see that, starting sometime this past June, you've done a mostly verbatim copy-and-paste of the same question at several other boards — usually with some minor detail changes, like the make/model. (Did you think no one would remember your post at the SevenForums from a few weeks ago?) Couple that with your off-shore IP address, and something just doesn't smell right. I changed windows update settings so it will not update at this time either. Restart and enter Safe Mode 2. Temporarily disable McAfee and ensure that it cannot start when you Restart 3. Restart and enter Safe Mode 4. Go to Control Panel > Windows Update 5. Look to the bottom-left of the Update window and click on "Installed Updates" 6. Try to determine which update is causing the problem and try to Uninstall it 7. Restart Let us know the result
