But whenever I try to run my application, I'm constantly getting the following error: Unable to create a manifest resource name for "....\gg\Form1.resx". Could not find file 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\gg\Form1.cs'. Could anyone please tell me a reason, and how can I overcome my problem? c# .net winforms share|improve this question edited Jul 22 '14 at 10:31 leppie 83.8k13145253 asked Feb 9 '11 at 7:29 Jack 36123 1 Have you tried saving, closing Visual Studio, and re-opening it again? That sometimes magically fixes difficult-to-trace errors. –Cody Gray Feb 9 '11 at 7:40 Have you "cleaned" the project sometimes this can help. Also - did you happen to delete an existing Form1 and then add it again - this can cause problems too... –Rob Feb 9 '11 at 7:40 If nothing helps, you can try recreating the form, based on your from designer code, by pieces, or just copy/paste the controls, depending on which would be faster for your setup. –Neolisk Mar 10 '13 at 2:43 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 4 down vote Your .csproj is corrupted. Solved Visual Studio 2010: Unable to create a manifest resource name Posted on 2012-03-07 Visual Basic.NET 1 Verified Solution unable to 6 Comments 3,394 Views Last Modified: 2012-03-07 I'm an experienced VBA developer but fairly new to Visual Studio. I've got a Visual Basic project. I copied an existing form from the Solution Explorer and renamed it to "FrmList". I realized I copied the wrong form, so I deleted that and copied and renamed a different form. At the time, I did not know about "Exclude unable to create From Project", so I just selected and hit Delete. When I ran the app, I get the following 3 errors: Error 1 Unable to create a manifest resource name for "FrmList.resx". Could not find file 'E:\@Projects\Hero App\Hero\Hero\FrmList.vb'. Hero Error 2 Unable to open module file 'E:\@Projects\Hero App\Hero\Hero\FrmList.Designer.vb': The system cannot find the file specified. E:\@Projects\Hero App\Hero\Hero\FrmList.Designer.vb 1 1 Hero Error 3 Unable to open module file 'E:\@Projects\Hero App\Hero\Hero\FrmList.vb': The system cannot find the file specified. E:\@Projects\Hero App\Hero\Hero\FrmList.vb 1 1 Hero I've done a Ctl+F search for the form name across the entire solution and "FrmList does not show up. I'm totally stuck. Any suggestions? 0 Question by:Kaprice Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 83 Active today Best Solution byCodeCruiser Strange. Did you copy and rename it within VS?
