Yes the project was initially copied over from another machine. However even if I add a new key via the Signing tab in Project Properties, this error is still shown. I have tried running Visual Studio as an Administrator and have tried manually adding the keys to Windows Certificate Store. Help! Have you unchecked the "Sign the ClickOnce manifests" on the Project Properties Signing Tab as well? –Simon Mourier Aug 20 '12 at 17:21 @Simon Mourier, if I uncheck that option then the file won't be signed.
