Home Server > Windows Home Server Software Question 0 Sign in to vote I have a Dlink print openscmanager failed 1722 the rpc server is unavailable server (DPR-1260) connected to a HP OfficeJet 6110. I had it working on my previous Windows 2000 server install but now with WHS I have run into a problem I

can not seem to get around. When I print from the workstations the documents fail and the server will not let me view the queue or properties because the spooler service had stopped. I tried restarting it etc no luck I can access the object for a moment but then the service dies again right away. I unable to open service control manager database 1722 also can not delete the printer now, and attempting to re-install it also does not work delivering a error message about TCPMON 1722. Anyone seen similar issues? Have any ideas? Sunday, August 05, 2007 4:26 AM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Before installing WHS I had tried several print servers. Always some problem with them. I installed my two photo printers (Epson) on my WHS PC and this works the best. Quick printing without hangups from all network PCs. Both printers installed through USP directly to the WHS with no problems. Why not connect your printers directly to your WHS? Sunday, August 05, 2007 6:07 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote You may try the following: 1. stop the printer spooler service. 2. move any files in C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS to a temp folder (or just delete them) 3. start the printer spooler service and try again. To remove the printer you may need to boot your WHS in safe mode. Some general info in o

on almost all platforms that Java supports. The aim of this simple tutorial is to explain how TCPMon works and also to windows was unable to open service control manager access denied explain some of its features. Structure and Dependencies TCPMon has absolutely no dependencies on third party libraries. But some of the UI features rely on JDK 1.4 so TCPMon needs a JRE that is 1.4 or https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b3a42456-7af1-466f-9a65-6165287a5837/anyone-experianced-issues-with-printers-that-work-off-print-servers?forum=whssoftware higher. Usage Patterns As an Explicit Intermediate The most common usage pattern for the TCPMon is as an intermediary. It is called explicit since the client has to point to the intermediary rather than the original endpoint in order to monitor the messages. The following figure explains this concept. In order to start the TCPMon in this configuration one has to provide the host name and the port for the listener in https://ws.apache.org/tcpmon/tcpmontutorial.html the admin screen. See image below. Pressing the 'add' button opens up a new tab that allows the messages to be seen as in the following screen At this point the requester should point to the listener port of the TCPMon instead of the original endpoint. Let us understand this with an example: Say all messages passed between www.apache.org needs to be monitored. Step 1 - Add a listener with host as www.apache.org and port as 80. Set the listener to port 8080 which may be any unused port in the local machine Step 2 - Point the browser to localhost:8080 instead of www.apache.org. Once the messages start flowing they can be seen in the relevant tab as seen below. The bottom controls allow the messages to be XML formatted (useful in debugging Web services), save and resend the messages, and also to switch the layout of the message windows. As a Request Sender for Web Services TCPMon can also be used as a request sender for Web services. The request SOAP message can be pasted on the send screen and then sent directly to the server. As a Proxy TCPMon can act as a proxy. To start the TCPMon at proxy mode, just select the proxy option from the radio buttons. When acting as

[closed] up vote 29 down vote favorite 20 I'm writing a tcp/ip client and I would need a "test server" to be able to test easily. It should listen on a configurable port, show me when a client connects and what the client sent, allow me to manually enter text to send to the client. It should work on Windows. Normally I would have use the simple but powerfull nc.exe (alias "Netcat" available as well on Unix as on Windows) but the antivirus detects it as an "hacker tool" so that my system administrator doesn't want me to use it at work. Does anyone use another tool to test socket connections and is happy with it? windows sockets networking utility share|improve this question edited Nov 9 '13 at 16:55 Martijn Pieters♦ 499k7412951453 asked Feb 5 '09 at 10:30 Name 1,74242231 closed as off-topic by animuson♦ Dec 8 '14 at 20:47 This question appears to be off-topic.
