to show an error message informing the end user that they need to take action on a specific field, or if a global form error has occurred. Common use cases are individual and multiple field validation and general error reporting, such as a database unable to set property '_dt_cellindex' of undefined or null reference communications error. This method provides the ability to set a global form error message, an error message for a specific field, or to remove any existing error messages. Note that the field().error() method introduced in Editor 1.3 provides the same functionality as the second form of this method. Both forms will continue to be supported in future versions of Editor, and they can often be used interchangeably. The key difference is in the return value - this method will return a DataTables.Editor instance, while the field().error() method returns a DataTables.Editor.Field instance. This can effect how you chain methods if you are using the returned value for chaining. Jan 26, 2016 03:18 AM|claudia888|LINK Hi, I need help with a web forms page that has a GridView; I'm using jQuery dataTable to display the GridView table -and the page threw JavaScript error for the jquery.dataTable.js, "Unable to get property 'mData' of undefined or null reference". https://forums.asp.net/t/2083580.aspx?jQuery+dataTable+threw+error+Unable+to+get+property+mData+of+undefined+or+null+reference+hidden+column I had to do some data manipulation in the code behind; I need the table to displays 2 columns: 1st: radio buttons; 2nd: 20% or 30% or 40%. But, the data for the 2nd column is stored in the database as float, 20, 30 or 40. However, when I display it, I need to add a "%" to the numbers. So I used this code below to ADD a 3rd column that has the %, and made the 2nd column hidden. Like this: gvCommOptions.Columns[1].Visible = true; gvCommOptions.DataSource = commOptions; gvCommOptions.DataBind(); gvCommOptions.Columns[1].Visible = false; // this is to hide the 2nd column protected void GridView_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e) { if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow) { e.Row.Cells[2].Text = Convert.ToString(e.Row.Cells[1].Text) + "%"; // this is to add % to the actual data } } Now - it displays the 2 columns properly; but after I add this code, I noticed that some jquery and ajax code on this page that was working, now don't; it turns out that the jquery.dat

I am having trouble with the following two calculations in a data table. BMI = IFERROR(([@Weight]/[@Height]^2)*704,"") Obese = IF([@BMI]>=30,1,0) I must be doing something wrong, as the results of the second calculation of undefined or are incorrect. For each cell where BMI = "", the Obese calculation is returning a "1", not a "0". I am not sure why this is the case nor how to fix it. Note: I also tried the following formula: BMI = IFERROR(([@Weight]/[@Height]^2)*704,). All cells where there was an error as 0. This works for calculating the Obese statement, but causes other problems as the "0" value messes up my average calculations. excel excel-formula excel-2010 share|improve this question edited Nov 22 '14 at 22:00 Tacet 1,14321125 asked Nov 22 '14 at 20:52 Jon Cooper 1 Sample data together with the expected results would greatly improce this question. It might be inferred that hte errors you are experiencing are #DIV/0! due to zeros or blanks cells in [@Height] but without some sample data and what you expect to receive when a potential #DIV/0! is encountered, it is impossible to speculate a solution. –Jeeped Dec 7 '14 at 8:51 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote Excel does return TRUE when comparing a string to a number like this (why Exc
