Unable To Load Skin Otshot
2010 - 05:59 PM Operating System - Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit)Intel Core i7 CPU 860@2.8 GHZAfter using the "Create DVD" option on Creator 2010 for several months, we now get an "ERROR: Unable to load skin" message when we click the "Create DVD" option. I contacted Roxio support and followed their directions to the letter, which include (1) Remove any Roxio and Sonic program using the "Add or
What Is Otshot
Remove Programs, option" (2) tried the "Windows Installer Clean Up Utility," (3) displayed hidden folders and deleted the folders listed by Roxio support from the hard drive," (4) created a new Administrator account before reinstalling Creator 2010. I installed Roxio before installing Roxio Content.Result - Same error message displayed.I again contacted Roxio support, but I have had no return communication for them.I taught computer applications for many years and know that the failure to follow directions specifically as given can cause hugh problems. As I am still waiting to hear from Roxio support, I decided to once again follow the directions that they originally sent hoping that it was simply me. Again--the same result--ERROR: Unable to load skin.Has anyone else had the same problem? If so, were you able to solve the problem. I would appreciate and help and suggestions. My previous install worked perfectly so I'm unsure as to what is happening now. Most times I try to change skin it tells me that the skin is missing some files. AeonMQ4 is the skin I'm trying to apply but it happens on several skins and, as I'm using the same skins I used previously (and downloading them from the repository) I don't believe its a skin issue. I thought maybe it is a permissions issue so I've made sure that both my user and administrator have full access to both the AppData folder and the Programfiles folder. I'll see if I can attach the log file to this, but does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks I think the important part of the log is 21:21:34 T:4404 DEBUG: CGUIMediaWindow::GetDirectory (addons://all/xbmc.gui.skin/) 21:21:34 T:4404 DEBUG: ParentPath = [addons://all/xbmc.gui.skin/] 21:21:34 T:2892 NOTICE: Thread Background Loader start, auto delete: false 21:21:34 T:2892 DEBUG: Thread Background Loader 2892 terminating 21:21:35 T:4404 INFO: XCURL::DllLibCurlGlobal::CheckIdle - Closing session to http://feeds.feedburner.com (easy=08085A20, multi=03D80260) 21:21:40 T:4404 DEBUG: Keyboard: scancode: 01, sym: 001b, unicode: 001b, modifier: 0 21:21:40 T:4404 DEBUG: CApplication::OnKey: escape (f01b) pressed, action is PreviousMenu 21:21:40 T:4404 DEBUG: CGUIWindowManager::PreviousWindow: Deactivate 21:21:41 T:4404 DEBUG: ------ Window Deinit (AddonBrowser.xml) ------ 21:21:41 T:4404 DEBUG: CGUIWindowManager::PreviousWindow: Activate new 21:21:41 T:4404 DEBUG: ------ Window Init (SettingsCategory.xml) ------ 21:21:42 T:4404 DEBUG: Keyboard: scancode: 1c, sym: 000d, unicode: 000d, modifier: 0 21:21:42 T:4404 DEBUG: CApplication::OnKey: return (f00d) pressed, action is Select 21:21:42 T:4404 DEBUG: ------ Window Init (DialogSelect.xml) ------ 21:21:42 T:4404 DEBUG: msg: PICTURE::LoadImage: Unable to open image: C:\Users\Arran\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.aeonmq.4\icon.png Error: (3) 21:21:42 T:4404 ERROR: Texture manager unable to load file: C:
