A S Chakradhar Mar 6, 2013 8:14 AM Hello everyone, I have installed After Effects CS6 in a Mac running 10.6.8(Snow Leopard) with 4 GB ram and have installed all the updates of After Effects. Whenever I try to get the audio output, i get an error:" After Effects Warning: Unable to start audio playback. Please confirm your audio hardware is properly configured or change the driver selection in Preferences: Audio Hardware "I tried to reinstall the software and also I tried the Audio MIDI Setup configuration but it too is of no use. Thanks in advance I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 3160Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Did you also look at the AE Preferences for audio?4 gigs may seem like a lot of memory to you, but is is woefully inadequate for AE. You need more memory right now. Think in terms of 16 gigs at the very least. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: Unable to start Audio Playback? Re: Unable to start Audio Playback? Matt Dubuque Mar 8, 2013 5:59 AM (in response to Dave LaRonde) I'm puzzled as to whether and why his shortage of RAM would rear its ugly head in this particular context, Dave.My experience with audio files is that they are generally trivial in size, compared to these massive video files we bring to the mix.So I would think that his serious deficiency in RAM would be much less likely to manifest in this relatively tiny file. But I'm probably missing something here. Some users, however, have been having unable to problems creating new recordings and have seen Error Code 0 or 2. As far as I can tell, the issue is related to the way that Display Recorder stores files in the file system to circumvent ASLR obstacles and the permissions that iTunes applies to them during backup restores. It seems that the only users affected by these errors are those who recently restored from an iTunes backup or upgraded/downgraded their firmware. Luckily, the fix is pretty simple and can be done unable to start in under ten minutes… Before I begin, make sure you have iFile or a similar app for browsing your iPhone's directories at the root level. You will need to dig into the Library files and delete some things, so make sure you do this carefully. If you have any recordings in there that you want to save, be sure to make a backup of the videos before you proceed. Launch Cydia and uninstall Display Recorder. To do this, simply tap Manage, tap Packages, scroll down to Display Recorder, tap it, tap Modify in the upper right corner, and select Remove. Confirm the uninstallation in the dialog that appears, and tap Restart Springboard when prompted. Launch iFile and navigate to /var/mobile/Library/Keyboard/ You will see some booleanmagic license files, a folder titled DisplayRecorder, and some other system files. Tap the Edit button in iFile, select the booleanmagic files and the DisplayRecorder folder (your selection will be marked by the filled bubbles to the left of each file) and tap the Trash Can icon at the bottom of iFile's interface. Do not delete any other files, as you may create problems with your iOS keyboard. Confirm the delete, and respring (via SBSettings or similar. Otherwise, just turn your device off and then on). Go back to Cydia and install Display Recorder again. When you try to record this time, you should not encounter any errors. I assume that this issue is caused by iTunes re

Once you changed to Foobar ASIO JPlay, were you able to select KS? I have had a similar problem (I also use Foobar) but only when trying to playback in Ultrastream (Xstream/River works fine). In my case it appears to be a hardware incompatibility issue.
