Error 0x2105 Replication Access Was Denied
have a forest with three sites and four DC's, ie two sites have one dsreplicagetinfo(kcc_ds_connect_failures) failed with error 8453 DC each and one site has two. All the DC's are WS2K3 R2 SE SP1. No patches post-SP1 have been applied.
The Replication Generated An Error (5) Access Is Denied
The problem now is that one of the DC's in the site that has two, is not responding to some requests and calls. You can ping it, both by name and by address. You can rdp time skew error between client and 1 dcs to it, and when you do everything appears normal, the sysvol and the netlogon shares are there and are properly populated. You can point a DHCP console at it, and it responds normally. Directory and DFS replication appear to be working. However, if you do "net view \\servername" you get "network path was not found". If you do "net view \\ipaddress", you get the same error; If you point an ADAC console unable to query the list of kcc connection failures at it, you get "The RPC Server is not available"; if you point a DNS console at it, you get "the specified server could not be contacted". DFS referrals fail, and roll on to the next server, which causes delays for users. Otoh, most dcdiag tests do work correctly; I append below the output from dcdiag /c /d /v /e - the server, site, and domain names have been obfuscated, obviously. The first failure in the dcdiag is the "Netlogons" test, and there is the infamous "error 1203, Win32 Error 1203". Googling that one mostly shows errors relating to promotion/demotion, which doesn't seem to be the issue here. The error logs contain nothing of obvious relevance. This DC has not been recently promoted, demoted, or patched, and has been running for about three years (with occasional reboots) in more or less the config it has now. I have considered applying SP2, and all more recent patches, or doing a demote/promote, or a non-authoritative DS restore, or a complete rebuild - but I would rather find out what the underlying problem is. Where to look next? (slightly) obfuscated DCDIAG output: Testing server: MySite\MyDC Starting test: Replications * Replications Check DC=ForestDnsZones,DC=DC=MyDomainName,DC=co,DC=uk has 7 cursors. DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=DC=MyDomainName,DC=co,DC=uk has 7 cursors.

2003. For the last 2 weeks I have been seeing a number of NTLM authentication failure errors on the daily reports along with a few other, possibly related errors. I've run https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/e46f9fa9-8c0f-4028-a2d2-b0ad87fbcde2/windows-server-2003-dc-behaving-oddly?forum=winserverDS dcdiag on the bdc and all tests pass, as does the same test on the SBS. Although if I run dcdiag /e on the BDC, I get a whole host of failures: Starting test: NetLogons [SERVER] User credentials does not have permission to perform this oper ation.
