Innodb Error Unable To Create Temporary File Errno 0
11:26AM I get the following error in my error log frequently. It may pop up when I access innodb error unable to create temporary file windows or set foreign key constraints, I'm not sure. InnoDB: Error: unable to create temporary file; errno: 2 After I get this error, I can no longer view any of the innodb: unable to create temporary file; errno: 0 tables' foreign key constraints until I restart the server. There are no errors in standard system logs and no other evidence of any problem. My tmpdir variable uses the system default. I tried setting it alternately to /tmp and /var/tmp. But this made no difference. I'm running MySQL 4.1.11/Solaris 9. Navigate:Previous Message•Next Message Options:Reply•Quote Subject Views Written By Posted Unable

comment When trying to restart the MySQL service, do you happen to find the following error in the logs ? /usr/sbin/mysqld: Can't http://blog.triantech.com/tag/innodb-error-unable-to-create-temporary-file-errno-122/ create/write to file ‘/tmp/xx' (Errcode: 122) date InnoDB: Error: unable to create temporary file; errno: 122 date [ERROR] Can't init databases date [ERROR] Aborting Under usual circumstances, this error can come http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/mysqld-innodb-error-unable-to-create-temporary-file/ up, when the permission of /tmp is inappropriate. The right one should be : drwxrwxrwt 4 root root size date /tmp ( ie, it should be equivalent to # unable to chmod 1777 /tmp ) You make sure this is the right one set for /tmp, you ensure that disk space aint full, still do you face this issue ? - If so, check for the number of files and nature of them in /tmp. Delete unnecessary/unwanted hidden/temporary files and restart the service. This should fix it.
