Before conversion we used DevExpress ProjectConverter tool to use v2010 v1.4 from v9.3. Since then our TFS build server won't build the solution and gives licenses file error with version 9.3.None of our projects reference version 9.3 but still we get this error. Can you please suggest solution for this problem. When compiling the same solution using VS2010 in the development machine there is no problem. E

To exclude a file, find the file in solution explorer and right-click on it, choose "Exclude From Project". done. share|improve this answer answered Sep 25 '15 at 11:41 Masoud Kazemi 211 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of se
On: Tue, Nov 13 2012 5:21 AM Reply Our developers all have Infragistics licences. However, our build computer does not (no development takes place on it). Today, our part of the product prevented a global build from http://www.infragistics.com/community/forums/t/75467.aspx completing successfully. By trial and error, we discovered that it was caused by the https://nkdagility.com/tfs-build-reports-licencies-licx-unable-load-type/ licence.licx files. We found that if they are all EMPTY on the build computer, it builds successfully. We then learned that one of our developers hadchecked in one of his licence.licx files which contained token keys (written automatically, it seems). My question is: What is the correct way to handle these licence.licx files on a unable to build computer without an Infragistics licence? So far, ensuring they exist but remain emptyworksfor us, but an internet search turned up a mix of suggestions, including setting the Build Action in VS's (2010 in our case)FilePropertiesto "None". We have it set to "Embedded Resource", which seems to be the default. What is right? Our solution was to check in an empty license file and then make sure that we don't overwrite it or if we do then we revert to the original inside our version control system (TFS). But if you "touch" any control via the GUI Editor the license engine of IG fill the file with some information about the control used in the "touched" from. That permit to IG DLLs to check license whenbuild code. The solution, and Ghram confirm that, is to let the license file empty, or without lines related to IG. Obviously, by the law, you need the right number of licenses based on IGlicense terms.Sincerely, Davide Dolla neoDD69 Reply Post Points: 5 ScanTrackSA Points 20 Replied On: Thu, May 9 2013 3:27 AM Reply How has this post not yet been responded to by the Infragistics team for almost 6 months? of Courses Webcasts Testimonials About About Martin Hinshelwood Contact Events TFS Build reports Licencies.licx: unable to load type All By Martin Hinshelwood 23 October, 2014 When you do a build you can get an "unable to resolve type" message from the licencies.licx file that you have checked in. This prevents you from having a successful build in Team Build. I have been working with a team of coders in Athens moving them over from StarTeam to TFS with Git. We are now, for the first time ever, trying to configure a build for their 25k file project on an automated build server. The main solution has 66 projects and currently we need to do two passes to get a successful build locally. This is not the best place to be, but it is where we are. There are many things that they are going to have to do to improve their platform over the coming years, but they really need a CI build to help them stay on the right road. I configured a build server and got one of their coders to install the 10GB of additional components that we need to get the build working. They have Infragistics and Developer Express, along with a plethora of other tools and components for both WPF, WinForms, and Web. After a few builds we got to a seemingly confusing error. There was a licence.licx file referencing version 12.2 of Infragistics that was causing the build server to throw an error. But it built just fine on the local developer workstations. The error looks fairly strait forward but the referenced components were installed on the server. Because they use a lot of components they have a lovely spreadsheet with all of the versions and what component the developers need with a link to the network share where the installers live. It should be a case of walking the list, installing everything, and we are good to go.
