Lotus Notes Unable To Load Frame Content Formula Error
Unable to load frame content; Refresh design failed; replace design faile; invalid or unable to load frame's content file does not exist non-existent document; nonexistent document Technote (FAQ) Question When you open a unable to load frame's content invalid or nonexistent document mail file in a Lotus Notes client, the following error occurs: "Unable to load frame's content - lotus notes unable to load frame's content unable to display elements, database does not contain design elements" Some framesets do not load. When your administrator refreshes the design of your mail file on the server, the following error occurs: "Refresh design failed: invalid or non-existent document." If the administrator replaces the mail file design, the following error occurs: "Replace design failed: invalid or non-existent document." The administrator can create a new mail file that functions without error using the mail template present on the server. Running the fixup, compact, and updall tasks resolves the problem temporarily, but it occurs again. Answer In this particular case, the behavior occurred because some design elements were missing from that user's mail file database. It is likely that corruption prevented the normal refresh or replace design from correcting the problem. To correct the problem, the user made a local replica of the mail file, replaced the design locally, and replicated the changes to the server. In some cases, we have found that you need to delete the replica on the server, and replace it by replicating the local replica to the server.
