is fine. DC2 has the problem. We tried an authoritative synchronization restore using adsiedit on DC1. We followed this dnslint server 2012 document: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2218556 We also demoted DC 2 and re-promoted it. DNS has a forwarder set up going to 75.75.75.75. The primary DNS server on the network adapter IPv4 settings is set unable to connect to the netlogon share server 2012 to 10.1.1.10 and the secondary is 10.1.1.12. Zone transfers have been turned on. Does anyone know what I could be missing? Dcdiag Failed Netlogons Error 67
Capsaicin OP Little Green Man Sep 16, 2014 at 3:31 UTC Which server holds the master role? When you demoted the second server, did you run any BPA scans to ensure that everything was meeting best practice requirements? 1 Habanero OP OverDrive Sep 16, 2014 at 3:31 UTC When you demoted DC2, did you clean up the metadata in AD? Sites/Services, delete the computer account, etc. Each DC should have the primary DNS as the OTHER, and the secondary dns as itself (127.0.0.1). 1 Anaheim OP Gabriel5534 Sep 16, 2014 at 3:47 UTC Thanks for the responses, guys. The server holding the master roles is DC1. When we demoted the second server, I don't think we ran BPA scans. My colleague did that part. I think we did clean up the metadata in AD though. I'll change the DNS setting on each DC network adapter as you suggested. 0 Anaheim OP Gabriel5534 Sep 16, 2014 at 4:25 UTC Still not fixed! Dcdiag Unable To Connect To The Netlogon Share

Join Now Need some help from the https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/584863-netlogon-share-does-not-exist-and-dcdiag-failed-test-netlogons-67 experts. We recently migrated our 2003 DC to 2008. I'm assuming we did not give enough time for replication to take place before giving primary control to the 2008 machine. But maybe it is something else that we missed. It seams to be that sysvol and netlogon shares did not replicate. From a dcdiag test... DC1 is our old 2003 Server and DC2 is our new 2008 machine (VM https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/399721-sysvol-and-netlogon-not-replicating-after-migration-from-dc-2003-to-2008 on Hyper-V) Testing server: Default-First-Site-Name\DC2 Starting test: Advertising Warning: DsGetDcName returned information for \\dc1.domain.local, when we were trying to reach DC2. I tried following a discussion from April 2012 http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/216551-dcdiag-reveals-advertising-issue-with-new-2008-dc I'm guessing I might have to do a force replication, I'm not very knowledgeable and tried to follow some guides on the web but not following it. I have two DCs running Server 2012. I had some issues with GPO replication. I thought i fixed it but I did not. I ended up demoting one of the DCs and re promoting it. However whenever I added the new DC the Netlogon and Sysvol shares are not created. When I run DCDIAG on the SERVER that is missing the Shares this is the error: Starting test: NetLogons Unable to connect unable to connect to the NETLOGON share!
