My services won't load on my web app. When I try to get to Manager or my Services Directory I get the following message: "The remote device or resource won't accept the https://rprabu1984.wordpress.com/tag/the-nvidia-update-service-daemon-service-failed-to-start-due-to-the-following-error/ connection." When I try to start the ArcGIS Server service I get the following message: "Error 1069: The service did not start due to a logon failure."Does anybody know what's going on here? Thanks,JustinOutcomesVisibility: ArcGIS for Server13850 ViewsLast modified on Jul 23, 2012 9:17 AMTags:serverContent tagged with serverenterprise_gisContent tagged with enterprise_gisThis content has been marked as final. After reading it and talking to our sys admin, I think that we've got an issue with group policy, and that the right to log on as a service is being revoked for the arcgis user account. I've got a ticket in with our IT department, and a ticket in with ESRI. If I come up with a solution, I'll post it here.On a side note, we discovered that if we add the arcgis user account to the administrators group, the ArcGIS Server service starts up with no problem. Unfortunately, IT won't allow us to keep the arcgis user in the administrators group. If you know or can think of any workaround, I'd be happy to hear it.Like • Show 0 Likes0 Actions geograf07 Mar 5, 2014 11:57 PMI had exactly the same error message. I discovered that I had different pw:s on my arcgis account andthe ArcGis Server service. Setting the same password on my service as my arcgis acoountsolved my problem. Now my ArcGis Server service is up and running./Dag2 people found this helpfulLike • Show 0 Likes0 Actions kekeje @ null on Jun 5, 2015 9:23 AMMine turned out to be the same problem as above. It doesn't appear in the account management section of the control panel. Searching on the web it appears to be related to some Nvidia driver. What is the purpose of this account? Individually the may not use much but collectively it all adds up enough to be noticeable. I always disable them from running automatically where possible and if I cannot then I look for a similar programme which I doesn't eat up memory & CPU time. It has some good screenshots regarding this issue. http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=198626 Based on the fact that it is a standard user, and it password protected, it is probably not any more of a security risk than any other such user on your system. That said, what a POOR implementation of an update service. I do not th
