have a perfectly working internet connection, No I do not use a proxy, Yes I have tried disabling my firewall, Yes I have deleted and reinstalled the trial, and No I cannot activate by telephone because this is the trial version of OneNote. what is microsoft outlook communications When I try to activate my downloaded (from the Microsoft website) free trial of OneNote 2007, configure the firewall software to let the activation wizard connect to the microsoft server it starts "connecting" and then tells me that there was a "communication error." I was having this same problem a few months ago we couldn t contact the server please try again in a few minutes 0x80072ee2 when I downloaded the MS Office Pro 2007 trial. Eventually it just worked one day. Yesterday, I bought the real version of Microsoft Office Pro, and activation went just fine, no communication errors. Microsoft's solutions, on its webpage because https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/822519 apparently there is no telephone support for the trial versions, is to check my firewall settings (done) or to activate by telephone (not possible.) Anyone? Thanks, Elizabeth P.S. I'm running Windows XP, I use Firefox 2.0 but also have IE available, and I have a cable connection through Time Warner. Here is the post I sent to microsoft.public.windowsupdate about that. ================================================================= Subject: Windows Update error 0x80072EFD, possible solution. From: Grant Robertson <> Newsgroups: microsoft.public.windowsupdate First the solution: 1) Go to Internet Options (either through the control panel or { Tools / Options } in Internet Explorer. Go to the Connections tab and click the Lan Settings button at the bottom. Uncheck "Automatically detect settings." 2) Go to Start / Run... and type "proxycfg -d" and press Enter. Why this works: If your computer is connected to a large network such as at a university or large corporation then there may be one or more proxy servers on that network that are not meant for you to use. If "Automatically detect settings" is checked then Windows will find that proxy server even if you are not meant to use it. This can cause several
installation and the use of Microsoft Office 2003 in whatever linux distribuction…It's a brief and fast guide ! Dont'worry !😀First of all I need to be thankful to the REVIEW by Twickline, one of the useful, but IMHO https://thesorcerer.wordpress.com/2007/10/07/guide-how-to-install-microsoft-office-2003-in-linux/ uncorrectedguides about the installation of Office 2003 under Linux I've found surfing; so this https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting lack of "easy knowledge" made me create the guide you're about to read…but now…stop talking around…let's start !😀
First, what will work using this procedure: Word 2003 Excel 2003Power Point 2003Publisher 2003 Than what will NOT workAccess 2003 (IMHO anyway it's USELESS)Infopath 2003 Outlook 2003 (Useless this one too.🙂 So let's start: Download, or unable to install Wine 0.9.37 DO NOT install the lastest version of Wine, because is NOT working…So DO NOT use your packet manager, (Apt, Synaptics)…but download this "old" version…For Example at this link you can find the .deb (Ubuntu & Debian Packages) files. 1_Go to your home folder (aka /home/sorcerer01) then go to .wine/drive_c/windows/system32EX : "cd /home/sorcerer01/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32" 2_Rename richedit32.dll and richedit20.dll to richedit32.bak and richedit20.bakEX:"mv richedit32.dll richedit32.bak" & "mv richedit20.dll richedit20.bak" unable to activate 3_Make richedit*.dll "native"EX: give "winecfg" to bash, go to "Libraries", insert the dll names, into the mask 4_Download the richedit30 update to desktopDownload Link 5_Install richeditEX: "wine richedit30.exe" 6_Download the XML Parser Download Link (only msxml3.msi) 7_Install the XML parser using wineEX: "msiexec /i msxml.msi" 8_Follow the on-screen instructions 9_Set "msxml3", "msxml3" and "msxml3.exe" to native EX: use "winecfg" as before described 10_Add Owner and Organizaion Informations to WineEX: give "regedit" to bash, go to [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version] add your name to the keys "RegistredOwner" and "RegistredOrganization" then go to [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version] and and proceed as before 11_ Mount the Office 2003 CD with the option to see the hidden files… EX "Insert the cd-rom into the drive" "Make sure it is not auto-mounted (umount /dev/cdrom as root)" "give this or something similar to bash (it depends on your distribution…you probably should know the right command if are reading this guide) "mount -t iso9660 -o unhide /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom" 14_Start the installation procedureEX: go to the cdrom directory andzh This page describes some of the reported issues with the Zotero word processor plugins, together with possible solutions. All Plugins/Platforms Formatting issues Citations and bibliographies generated by the word processor plugins might appear in a different style (font, font-size, etc) than the surrounding text. The appearance of the generated text can be changed by changing the default style. E.g. in LibreOffice, open the styles manager in 'Format' > 'Styles and Formatting' or by hitting F12. Right click on “Default”, select 'Modify', and make the desired changes to this style. Bibliography formatting is controlled in the style file, and should conform to the requirements of the style in use. The formatting of the bibliography can be modified by editing the “Bibliography” (Word) or “Bibliography 1” (LibreOffice) style. Incompatible plugin The Zotero word processor plugin will only work if you install the correct version. (Note that Zotero 2.0 uses a different plugin from Zotero 1.0.x, and Zotero 2.1 uses a different plugin from Zotero 2.0, so after upgrading Zotero you will also need to upgrade your plugin.) If you try to use an incompatible version of the plugin, you will receive an error message similar to: “This version of the Zotero Word Plugin (1.0b4) is incompatible with the currently installed version of the Zotero Firefox extension (2.0.3). Please ensure that you are using the latest versions of both components.” To solve this problem, install the correct version of the plugin. If the problems persists after using the installer, remove the old version manually. For Windows Word and Word 2004 for Mac, remove the plugin file “Zotero.dot” completely from your Word startup folder, which you can locate by looking at the path in Tools→Templates and Add-ins within Word. For OpenOffice, remove the extension from the OpenOffice Extension Manager (and, if necessary, remove leftover files from the OpenOffice data directory, which may be necessary if OO fails to completely uninstall the extension). In either case, restart the word processor and ensure that the Zotero toolbar a
