Excel Activex Controls Not Working
possible, thanks. gamease Friday, August 10, 2007 1:23 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote What code or Ole control are you using to view PDFs documents? If you're using the one that ships with Adobe, better forget it. There were numerious threads on this problem on UT (another VFP forum) and the general consensus is to not use this viewer but better use WebBrowser control. That's why I posted a link in my first message to http://www.berezniker.com/display/VFP/View+PDF+in+VFP+Form It should explain what do you need to do to use it. More information about this code is currently in the comment, e.g. 1. Drop olecontrol on the form and pick Microsoft Web Browser2. Change its name to oWB3. Drop a command button on the form and copy code from command1.Click into its click method.4. In VFP8 and earlier put NODEFAULT into REFRESH() event to prevent an error. The methods shown there such as ShowPDF you should add to your form. Go to Menu Form\NewMethod and type ShowPDF, you would put the code from the referenced link in this method. Hope this helps. Is there some extra dependancy for ComboBox2 in your application (is it part of a hidden/disabled Frame or Form? –K_B Apr 20 '13 at 21:45 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote Make sure the names of each combobox are ComboBox1 and ComboBox2. If you renamed them, it could give errors such as this. Plus if you've got combobox2 disabled (Enabled=false) for some reason, this is what you need, however if you're trying to have excel set the focus onto ComboBox2, use ComboBox2.SetFocus share|improve this answer edited Apr 21 '13 at 3:42 Danny Beckett 10.1k145394 answered Apr 20 '13 at 21:51 ExcelVbaIsFun 513 If you have wrong name you would rather get error 424- Object require –KazimierzJawor Apr 20 '13 at 21:55 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote I believe that the combobox is in your worksheet. Answer The best method of embedding objects using Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) automation is to use the Create menu to embed them into Notes Rich Text fields (RTF). To edit these embedded objects, it is recommended to save all changes within the external application first, before saving the Notes document. Following these steps will reduce and most likely eliminate OLE corruption that is sometimes caused by embedding and editing objects. To embed an object into a Notes document: 1. Create/Access a Notes database that has a form with a Rich Text field. For testing purposes, you may wish to create a new database using the discussion template. Once inside this new database, click on the button to create a "New Main Topic." 2. Place the cursor in a RTF. 3. Embed an object by executing: a. Create > Object b. Click 'Object from File' and browse to choose the file you wish to embed, OR you may embed a new object (not from a currently existing file) by selecting other options within the embed dialog box. c. Check the 'Display as Icon' checkbox (Optional. You may prefer to display the object within the document instead.). 4. Click OK to return to the Notes document. 5. Save and close the Notes document. You have successfully embedded an object into a Rich Text field. To edit an embedded object within a Notes document: 1. Place the Notes document containing the embedded Excel object in Edit mode. 2. Right-click the embedded object and select Open. This will open the file and launch the parent application; OR you may double-click the object to launch it within its parent application. 3. Make your changes in the object and save them within the external/parent application. 4. Close the external application and return to the current Notes document. 5. Save and close the Lotus Notes document. To attach a file and embed an object into the sa
