unable to open file in OllyDbg « on: September 18, 2015, 07:07:44 AM » HiIve started proggraming again (it's
Ollydbg Unable To Locate File
been a while ... ) and I just started to work on a first program. I just wanted to check some things in OllyDbg but clearly odbg says "unable to start

file '...' ". I have no clue why OllyDbg is saying that as I've opened it as an administrator and Odbg seems to be able to open an older project of me anyway. Is there someone who can help me out ? The files are in the attachment. (glwindow.exe and .asm is in the GL window directory, the others are just .def and ilspy debugger .mac files)By the way, the content of glwindow.asm is probably not even correct yet (but it 'compiles') and its just useless for now (and very short :p)Thanks in advanceEDIT: I tried it in both odbg 1.10 and 2.01 OpenGL.zip (38.01 kB - downloaded 112 times.) Please, teach me why and don't beat me. Thank you and Have ollydbg windows 10 a nice day naidesJanuary 3rd, 2007, 12:341. does the file start without Olly?? 2. Multiple explanations: Olly does not debug ollydbg 64 bit download 16 bit applications. If your "not start files" are old MZ 16 bit DOS or Windows) apps, Olly complains. 3. Perhaps the files have anti-debug devices?? SiGiNTJanuary 3rd, 2007, 15:20Hmm.. never seen that error, usually the soft burps a system error and exits. SiGiNT ZaiRoNJanuary 3rd, 2007, 16:57We are reversers or not??? If you want an answer the most simplest way is to debug Ollydbg looking for the error message. It's pretty easy to find out where the error occours. If you are a newbie you can learn http://www.woodmann.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-9792.html something new otherwise take it as a relaxing exercise JhudoraJanuary 8th, 2007, 03:35I am also having this problem. I have tried many different .exe files, including Ollydbg itself.. .both versions 1.10 and 1.09 and I have yet to be able to open a single file. Every time I get the error saying "unable to start file .. " Is there a way to fix this? naidesJanuary 8th, 2007, 08:04Jhudora: What is your OS? I don't think Olly works in x64 environments. JhudoraJanuary 8th, 2007, 09:43I'm running XP. .. is there something similar to Olly for XP? =\ naidesJanuary 8th, 2007, 09:52Olly works fine in 32 bit windows XP. [I]f you do not have x64 windows then the problem is somewhere else. Do you have another computer? Try there. Try a virtual machine. Think about file permissions, work as an Administrator JhudoraJanuary 8th, 2007, 10:38I log in as the owner so I think I have full permissions for accessing files.. I don't have another machine nor do I know how to run a virtual machine.. Any ideas what the error usually typifies? Powered by vBulletin Version 4.2.2 Copyright © 2016 vBulletin Solutions, Inc. But as soon as I hit run from the Debug menu a message shows up: Breakpoint unable to start set at address 76A010B1 is corrupt (contains hex code instead of int3 ...) And the program doesn't run, rather it breaks to Ollydbg. I am puzzled. What is really going on? I see an isdebugger call. Fixing it, also, it doesn't run the program. I suppose it's using some advanced anti debugging technique. Any suggestions?
