But it works smooth when i log in as administrator , even though a power user can't run this application the same error exists can u tell any solution if u had faced the same . We had an installer that we used extensively under Windows XP, but now we are starting to acquire a lot of Windows 7 resources. https://community.oracle.com/thread/2199769 The problem I'm writing about is one of these new machines that is not one of our "managed" resources (which install Oracle IC via an application shelf, and have no trouble). We installed the 10g client using our existing procedure for XP, and the machine was connecting just fine for about a week, then stopped. (Of course, none of the users admits to changing anything ;D) We have... * done a very complete deinstall and reinstall using the installer we used under XP * ensured the path environmental variable is pointing where it ought to be (c:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\BIN) * ... and tried copying the folders C:\OraClient10gR2 and c:\OraTNS off of a "managed" machine running windows 7 that has working access to Oracle (and updating the path to point to C:\OraClient10gR2) In every case the situation is the same. There is an MS Access application that is using the connection string below. A few of our employees have been moved to win7 and are reporting this. ERROR ORA-01019: unable to allocate memory in the users side CAUSE connectStr = "Provider=msdaora;Data Source=HIDW.WORLD;User Id=xxxxx;Password=xxxxx" conn.Open (connectStr) Why would this work n XP and not win7? Does anybody know a work around for this?
