Searching through google lets me understand it is a widespread issue. Several users are experiencing the same message. Some say whenever avira wants itself to update, it updates. Avira Manual Update Error
× Michael Glasspool Daniel. Re: Generation of update structure failed. Update Lib delivers error 537. There is one thing you can try right away. In the Avira configuration go to Update > Web server > Proxy settings. Select do not use a proxy server to trouble shoot the problem. Normally, the radial button is 'Use the proxy system settings. And, follow these additional instructions for error code 537, explained here, in the knowledge base article, http://www.avira.com/en/support-for-home-knowledgebase-detail/kbid/1078 Michael Note: Please disregard the mention of Expert Mode as it is already activated (JU2013). I only got manual updating working, however it is boring to do this everyday. I really want to get auto-update running, since I don't want to change to Avast or AVG. 0 Helpful 0 Report View Reports Unflag Comment Edit Comment Delete Comment Edit Comment Delete Comment Michael Glasspool Michael Glasspool Recheck your Internet Explorer Connections tab > LAN settings.
