Java.util.zip.zipexception: Error In Opening Zip File Android
it only takes a minute: Sign up java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file up vote 36 down vote favorite 6 I have a Jar file, which contains other nested Jars. When I invoke the new JarFile() constructor on this file, I get an exception which says: java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file When I manually unzip the contents of this java.util.zip.zipexception jboss Jar file and zip it up again, it works fine. Also, please note that this exception is seen only on WebSphere 6.1.0.7 and higher versions. The same thing works fine on tomcat and WebLogic. Also, when I use JarInputStream instead of JarFile, I am able to read the contents of the Jar file without any exceptions. Please let me know if you have any ideas on how this can be fixed. Using JarInputStream fixed the problem for me. –Boris van Schooten Dec 20 '11 at 9:47 I have faced the same problem on Tomcat Start UP [catalina.properties]: org.apache.catalina.startup.TldConfig tldScanJar WARNING: Failed to process JAR [jar:../opensaml.jar!/] for TLD files ZipException to resolve this problem add opensaml.~.jar into Applica

The installation and start up of the application is fine, however, when the web service is invoked, the following error appears in the SystemOut.log a few hundred times. The server then starts reporting other errors about 'Too many open files' until the application is stopped or the services restarted. Initially the web service worked fine in dev, but an attempt to use it in production failed (Not a good look). After rebooting dev, the problem started to occur there as well (at least it is now co

When starting the (Websphere application) server we have many warnings like the one appended in the log. This happens when deploying maven build WARs. It seems Websphere looks for error in opening tag library descriptors in WEB-INF/lib of the source - but of course the real .jar is contained the deployed WAR artefact, not the source directory. The warnings do not appear to have any effect - everything works, but are annoying. Can we do something there? We are currently evaluating JRebel 3.0 M3, but this problem occurred also in 2.2.1.
