I have ColdFusion 11 set up and running. Everything seems to work fine except whenever I have a coldfusion error, I get an error message from IIS instead of ColdFusion. I get the generic 500 - Internal Server Error instead of the ColdFusion page telling me what is wrong. This is a new installation on an empty server. Nothing else

is running on this machine and nothing else has been loaded. In the ColdFusion Administrator I have the check boxes for "Enable Robust Exception Information" and "Enable Request Debugging Output" checked. If there are no errors on the page, the page works fine. Its just hard to debug when I can't see what's wrong if there is a typo or something. When I see what you describe, I usually see a java heap space error in the log. –Dan Bracuk Aug 5 '14 at 21:43 1 Check the admin there is a setting to set http status codes so IIS sees that and displays it's error page. –Sean Coyne Aug 6 '14 at 2:02 Possibly "friendly error" messages set for your browser. Are you using IE? support.microsoft.com/kb/294807 –Gerry Gurevich Aug 6 '14 at 7:39 @SeanCoyne, I don't see any options like this. Can you tell me specifically w

I need the ability to see the error messages over the Internet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Joe I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 9672Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 6 replies 1. Re: CF7 IIS 7: getting 500 - internal error instead of cf error output - but not when run locally joecopley Nov 30, 2009 2:49 AM (in response to joecopley) Let me clarify a few things:First, most .cfm pages are working fine. The 500 error only seems to show up if CF throws an error on the page.Second, I do have friendly error messages turned on in IE.Third, I get the same results in IE and Firefox. On the server machine I am only running IE). I've looked within IIS 7.5 and it's recognizing the .cfm file I think becuase it's an option under default documents. However I try coldfusion 10 iis to view the file from the local host I get a error 500.0. Module IsapiModule Notification ExecuteRequestHandler Handler AboMapperCustom-77246 Error Code 0x800700c1 I have no idea what that mapper is or what it's supposed to do so if anyone could help me out I would be eternally grateful! Why oh why couldnt cold fusion 9 have native IIS support in it. Reply RisenAngel 42 Posts Re: Error 500.0 on .CFM file Dec 10, 2011 02:19 PM|RisenAngel|LINK Ok here's an update. Apparently this error 500.0 gets applied to all my sites within IIS 7.5. Not just the one I intend to use .cfm files on. When I go into the web configuration tool and remove the configured webservers and restart everything goes back to normal but the .cfm files throw a 404.3 not found error for the following module.
