Myonly problem with it is that I am getting the same error message:"\AppData\Local\ElevatedDiagnostics" Windows Error Code 5: Access is denied. This error message pops up after I click on Compare. I have full owner rightsto freefilesync download all folder/files on my C-Drive. I have tried to use the filter option inFreeFileSynch to prevent this error, but I still get the error. I am usingWindows 7 64-bit. This is a minor inconvenience, but if you could find a fixfor this it would be much appreciated. Thank you. I don't get an access denied for%AppData%\Local\ElevatedDiagnostics on Win7 x64. > I have full owner rights to all folder/files This is often not sufficient. Some folders, notably the junction points in%userprofile%, have security settings such that they cannot be accessed. riveroak Posts: 2 Joined: 12 Aug 2011 Quote Post by riveroak • 15 Aug 2011, 16:54 The problem is resolved, although I'm not sure how. I was having some homenetwork access problems with my laptop and I changed some sharing permissions. The next time I ran FFS I no longer got the error message and it has been finefor the past two days. I don't know if the home network sharing permiss

I've added several sync folders to a batchrun and if I start this manually, no problems. If I try to start it through Windos Scheduler, errors are reported in the log. Although all file attributes are the same (on both sides), some files can't be overwritten. Non specific and some the same https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28394028/FreeFileSync-error-synchronizing.html but not all. The error in the log is: Error Code 5: Access is denied. (DeleteFile) I've tried almost everything to clear this up but no effect. Different users, local and active directory, different access rights but no luck. The strnage thing remains: manually everything is syncing all fine, no errors but with a scheduler those errors. Probably I am missing something or not doing it the right way, please tell me. Really frustrating this. Thanks!
