Ie Script5: Access Is Denied
takes a minute: Sign up JavaScript error “Access is denied” in internet explorer up vote 2 down vote favorite 1 I am getting this error when i run my webpage in IE(the code runs fine in other browsers). This is the HTML code:
<--- some html code ---> This is page1.php This is usercheck.php <--- some html code ---> The problem is that when reach usercheck.php after clicking on submit button in page1.php i get the error http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.1/jquery.min.js. Access is denied. Here is an image of the error: http://i.stack.imgur.com/diCoF.jpg . Then consequently i get the error that '$' symbol is not defined(which is due to the failure to load the jquery library). EDIT- I have tried including the jquery file in my server but still the error is comming. I have also tried this code for usercheck.php: <--- some html code ---> The error i am getting this time is this:http://i.stack.Sign in Pricing Blog Support Search GitHub This repository Watch 24 Star 626 Fork 150 chuckcarpenter/REM-unit-polyfill Code Issues 4 Pull requests 0 Projects 0 Pulse Graphs New issue "Access is denied" javascript error #7 Closed

Internet Explorer Access Denied By Security Policy

When debugging my personal site in IE8 with your polyfill included before the body tag (in plugins.js), I am getting a console error which is pictured in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17214053/javascript-error-access-is-denied-in-internet-explorer the screenshot below. I feel like I've run across this issue before (something to do with cross domain policies, perhaps?) but I can't seem to find a remedy. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Chris Collaborator lsvx commented Feb 19, 2013 Hey Chris, Sorry for the delay in responding to the issue you created. I've been looking into the error you're getting and have done some testing and research. The "access https://github.com/chuckcarpenter/REM-unit-polyfill/issues/7 is denied" error can often be due to cross domain issues. I did some poking around and determined that this is in fact the case for your personal site. To demonstrate it, follow these steps: navigate to your personal site in IE8; click on Tools in the toolbar and hit Internet Options; click on the Security tab and click on the Trusted sites icon; click the Sites button and add your site to the list of trusted sites then save the list; click on the Custom level... button and scroll down the the Miscellaneous section; change setting in the fist category, Access data sources across domains, to Enable and save the settings; and refresh your site and notice that the "access is denied" error is gone. Make sure to undo these steps after you've tested to ensure that future testing is not biased. This issue is not particular to the polyfill, as it works on all the other properties I have tested, but rather appears to be related to the way your files are being accessed. For some reason, it seems that the CSS files that the polyfill is trying to load are located on a separate domain. Is that the case? It's possible that switching to relative paths in your stylesheet links

If it access is matters I'm running es5 and es6 shim on ie edge. if (!objectGOPNAcceptsPrimitives) { var originalObjectGetOwnPropertyNames = Object.getOwnPropertyNames; defineProperty(Object, 'getOwnPropertyNames', function getOwnPropertyNames(value) { return originalObjectGetOwnPropertyNames(ES.ToObject(value)); }, true); Value.preserveToString(Object.getOwnPropertyNames, originalObjectGetOwnPropertyNames); } KasperLK commented Apr 13, 2015 +1 Collaborator ljharb commented Apr 13, 2015 Thanks for the report! I'll check on this asap. Is this the latest published version of es6-shim (which specifically?)? niemyjski access is denied commented Apr 13, 2015 I was seeing this in 0.27.x as well as 0.28.2 niemyjski commented Apr 13, 2015 The code looks fine as well as the passed in objects, I'm not sure why ie is blowing up but it is. Collaborator ljharb commented Apr 13, 2015 Are you using any other libraries? react, core.js, things like that? All the tests pass in IE 11 so it's either another library, or I'm missing test coverage :-) niemyjski commented Apr 13, 2015 Angular: Here is the site I saw this error on: https://github.com/exceptionless/Exceptionless.ui zloirock commented Apr 13, 2015 Interestingly. niemyjski commented Apr 13, 2015 Any ideas on the cause? Collaborator ljharb commented Apr 13, 2015 Object.getOwnPropertyNames is working just fine in my manual testing. Exceptionless is pretty big so I'm not sure how I'd figure out the problem, but since this has happened a couple times before, I suspect that something in Exceptionless is either a) modifying globals, or b) using host objects in unexpected ways. ljharb added the needs followup label Apr 13, 2015 niemyjski commented Apr 13, 20

Our current requirement says that we do a check, if the input field is empty we invoke the browse dialog, if it has something we do a submit. Everything works until we do an actually submit, in which case the browser throws a Javascript error with the message "Access is denied". This is thrown right at the submit() method. How do we resolve this? It seems to be related to security around the file input form element but we ARE NOT modifying the contents in any way- we are just checking the length of it to determine whether we will submit or invoke the browser dialog (in IE it is simple "click()") Do you know of any work around? Here is example code to reproduce this problem: Code:
