There is also one JavaScript method in the above page which goes like: function performUpload(){ document.getElementById('frmupload').submit(); } I call this inside of a page (uploadpage.htm) from within an iframe: I try to execute the statement shown below from the uploadpage.htm page: var i = document.getElementById('docframe'); i.contentWindow.performUpload(); I get an error saying Access is denied, and my debugger halts at the first JavaScript function I've shown. Both the files are in the same location in the web project. They have the same domain name too. Why do I get this error then? Of course, earlier, I could post the page: when I did not set the name attribute for the HTML upload control. But after I set the name attribute in HTML markup, I get this weird error. Why didn't I get this the first time? Had a look @ this post --> "Access is denied" when script tries to access iframe in IE8, but it didn't helphere for a quick overview of the site Help Center Detailed answers to any questions you might have Meta Discuss the workings and policies of this site About Us Learn more about Stack ie script5 access is denied Overflow the company Business Learn more about hiring developers or posting ads with us

When debugging my personal site in IE8 with your polyfill included before the body tag (in plugins.js), I am getting a console error which is pictured in the screenshot below. I feel like I've run across this access is issue before (something to do with cross domain policies, perhaps?) but I can't seem to find a remedy. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Chris Collaborator lsvx commented Feb 19, 2013 Hey Chris, Sorry for the delay in responding to the issue you created. I've been looking into the error you're getting and have done some testing and research. The "access is denied" error can often be due to cross domain issues. I did some poking access is denied around and determined that this is in fact the case for your personal site. To demonstrate it, follow these steps: navigate to your personal site in IE8; click on Tools in the toolbar and hit Internet Options; click on the Security tab and click on the Trusted sites icon; click the Sites button and add your site to the list of trusted sites then save the list; click on the Custom level... button and scroll down the the Miscellaneous section; change setting in the fist category, Access data sources across domains, to Enable and save the settings; and refresh your site and notice that the "access is denied" error is gone. Make sure to undo these steps after you've tested to ensure that future testing is not biased. This issue is not particular to the polyfill, as it works on all the other properties I have tested, but rather appears to be related to the way your files are being accessed. For some reason, it seems that the CSS files that the polyfill is trying to load are located on a separate domain. Is that the case? It's possible that switching to relative paths in your stylesheet links might help. Please let me know what you find.
