Maven-jar-plugin
Project B has a dependency on project C. I use the maven-dependency-plugin to copy the dependencies of B to a lib/ directory in the target/ directory. So, I can use the maven-assembly-plugin to include this lib/ directory in the final zip. The problem is I get the following error when I run mvn clean package on project B: at org.apache.maven.lifecycle.internal.MojoExecutor.execute(MojoExecutor.java:209) ... 19 more Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\path-to-projects-directory\C\target\classes (Access is denied) at java.io.FileInputStream.open(Native Method) at java.io.FileInputStream.(FileInputStream.java:120) at org.codehaus.plexus.util.io.FileInputStreamFacade.getInputStream(FileInputStreamFacade.java:36) at org.codehaus.plexus.util.FileUtils.copyStreamToFile(FileUtils.java:1141) at org.codehaus.plexus.util.FileUtils.copyFile(FileUtils.java:1048) at org.apache.maven.plugin.dependency.AbstractDependencyMojo.copyFile(AbstractDependencyMojo.java:192) ... 23 more Someone has an idea? I've done some research on the web and I found that there is such an issue (see http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MWAR-192 , that's for the wars but I have the similar problem with JAR). It seems that the target/classes directory of project C can't be accessed to create the C.jar (the C.jar must be included in the lib/ directory of project B). The project builds just fine in Eclipse. I've followed the "Setting up an Ant or Maven build in TFS" guide to set up the agent on the Build Server and the build definition in Eclipse. When Maven is invoked, it downloads sources etc but fails when it starts the build: [INFO] BUILD FAILURE [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [INFO] Total time: 8.295s [INFO] Finished at: Fri Aug 16 16:19:50 EDT 2013 [INFO] Final Memory: 10M/61M [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-compiler-plugin:3.0:compile (default-compile) on project spring-petclinic: Error while storing the mojo status: C:\Builds\3\TFS_SCRUM\CI - petclinic\src\target\maven-status\maven-compiler-plugin\compile\default-compile\inputFiles.lst (Access is denied) -> [Help 1] Any ideas? From now on I'll exclude that directory from source control since it's not required for build and only holds objects created at build time. THanks! Please share the link or steps your followed to setup this build process to understand the issue. Also I recommend you can directly use the TFS Build process to build your projects instead of Integrating Maven in the TFS. In TFS Build enable "Detailed" verbose diagnostic property and run the build to get detailed error message.Cheers KSR Sunday, August 18, 2013 6:23 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Hello KSR, Here is a link to t
