I fixed the problem by removing the block. Go to Kaspersky Anti-hacker (icon in bottom right tray), click on service, application rules and remove block from Adobe Acrobat by modifying the rule from "block" to "allow." When I go to Adobe, and try to make a pdf from the scanner I get a "An unrecoverable error has occured. Operation stopped." It used to work. Also, when I go to the Scan To Settings, adobe is not listed. Is there any way to fix this? I did reinstall the software both https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21714485/Hp-Scanner-7130-not-working-right.html with the copy from the hp website and from the cd, and neither wants to work. I also reinstalled adobe. 0 Question by:raptorpb1 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 15 Best Solution bymcp_jon Hi Raptor, Try to remove all Software, Adobe and HP-related, and delete the Folders. Fabio Senior member Joined: Oct 12, 1999 Messages: 927 Likes Received: 0 I have a Brother MFC 9700, Windows XP pro with all of the latest patches. I'm about to throw my MFC out of the window. All of a sudden when I go to the Scanner and Camera Wizard to scan a document I get the following: "An error occurred during preview. If the scanner is being used, please wait for it to complete the task, and then click Preview." When I try to Create a PDF file from scanner in Acrobat it says: "An unrecoverable error has occurred. Operation stopped." I downloaded the latest drivers from Brother. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the MFC. I have even tried pluggin it into another USB port. Still get the same error. I have googled that error message with no success. Has anyone ever had this problem? Any ideas I can try? #1 Fabio, Apr 9, 2006 Fabio Senior member Joined: Oct 12, 1999 Messages: 927 Likes Received: 0 anyone? #2 Fabio, Apr 10, 2006 Luckyboy1 Senior member Joined: Mar 13, 2006 Messages: 934 Likes Received: 0 It will do that when you try to start something before clearing the last operation erro like a jame or out of ink or a scan that failed..
