Ok, booting the kernel" has been printed on the console, VirtualPC halts the emulation and pops up the dialog "An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered" and gives you a button press to reboot. Searching the web gives one other person with this same problem, but I see no response. I have uploaded the latest version of VPC but the same issure reoccurs. Any suggestions? Top unrecoverable processor error by Steve Jai » Tue, 27 Jul 2004 07:19:20 That error usually occurs when a triple fault happens in Windows, which on a real PC would cause the system to reboot. What changes did you make before the error started occuring. This evening, for no apparent reason, I am getting the following error on startup: "An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered. The PC will restart now." No matter what mode I use for restart, I end up at the same place. I did an update of RealPlayer a couple days ago on the Mac side (to version 10), but I think I had restarted VPC since then, in any case. I can't figure any way out to get back to a normal restart. My mac an unrecoverable processor is a Dual 2.7ghz G5. I am using VP7. I went through the install wizard and it shows that it installed properly, after hitting the reboot button it reboots and the error message: Uknown Error or Fault at EIP 00000060 c010021d 00000000 loops continuosly on the screen then VPC pauses the machine and displays this message. An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered. The PC will restart now I've looked at several postings about this error and I've yet to find any one that has a definate solution. I'm curious if since those postings, there has been any known issue that causes this problem. I installed FC4 and I didn't get the same loop, but I get a processor error. Kajico View Public Profile Find all posts by Kajico #3 19th June 2006, 07:41 PM th

We did get rid of the savedstate as noted in the thread, but that did not fix the situation.Doing a new VPC was pretty straightforward. Tedious, butstraightforward.--MattPost by Michael PaineSee tips athttp://users.tpgi.com.au/aoaug/mac_osx.html#crashIn particular, the one starting "Error message".
