in parallel on Cluster/GRID configuration Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) DataStage job failes with "Bad File Descriptor" when using MQ in parallel http://www.dsxchange.com/search.php?search_author=May&sid=75543f7747c5230d1f80d2d97b385413 on MPP (cluster or GRID) configuration Resolving the problem Running MQ connector in Parallel on MPP (cluster or GRID) configuration may cause a timing issue with End of Wave processing. http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21622981 There are 2 workarounds: 1. When running MQ connector on MPP, run the MQ connector sequentially. 2. Run the MQ connector only on the conductor node by using node pool constraints or node constraint. This issue has been resolved in IS 9.1. You can now chat with me while I am at the conference by looking in my right panel. I've added a Meebo widget into the right sidebar of my blog that hooks into my Meebo chat session, so whenever I am online and have Meebo open you can chat with me. Just type a message and hit enter. You can edit the nickname on the bottom of the chat box to tell me who you are. I am not logged in all the time as I have to move between sessions every hour, but I will have the chat open for a few times a day. You can ask questions about the conference. At 2:30 today (one hour from now) I will be talking with Lee Scheffler, the chief architect of DataStage, if you have any questions for him and you want the answer straight away just send it to me in the live chat. Thanks to the wireless internet at the conference I can run live chat while talking to him. Meebo is a very cool tool, I use it to sign into my Yahoo, AOL and MSN instant messenger accounts using a single login. It consolidates all my contacts into a single list of buddies. It comes with a widget that lets you put a live chat window onto a HTML page that shows when you are online and available for a chat. From my messenger each person look at one of my blog pages turns up as a new Meebo contact with a generated MeeboGuest name - so your chat with me is one-to-one like a normal instant messenger conversation.
