a gaming computer online that contains a GA-970A-D3 Gigabyte motherboard.I've been using it cara mengatasi warning main bios checksum error for about 2-3 months now without any problems. I did not update my BIOS or anything because I expected writing bios image the website I bought this computer from (cyberpowerpc) to have already taken care of that. One night I shut off my computer, and the next day I turn on my computer, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IC3ZdfWUx1w it boots as it normally would: the computer gives one beep, and I receive the logo message. But then, I receive this message:Code: [Select]Warning: MAIN BIOS CHECKSUM ERROR!

Retreiving recovery source from Back BIOS.... Done!
Writing BIOS Image..... _____K OKThe part where I added the "_______" contains a number that increasesall the way to 4080K, and http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?topic=7984.0 then the computer reboots and completely restarts this process. Some extra information:1)My PSU is not the issue as it's a 700W Corsair Brand PSU.2)I've already cleared my CMOS by both using the jumper, and removing the battery for 30 seconds with no success.3)I don't believe it is a wiring issue because it worked untouched for the 2-3 months that I have been using it.4)When I first received my computer, I replaced the power supply before its first boot (I'll note again, it has been working untouched for the past 2-3 months, so I don't believe that the PSU replacement was the risk factor)5)The cursor is under "OK" when I am given this error message, but pressing ENTER or any other keys will not do anything.6)I am still able to enter the BIOS menu from the logo screen.7) I have flashed the BIOS from F6 to F7 and the problem still persists. I really don't understand the problem. The only thing that I haven't tried is replacing the battery, which I am planning on going over to CVS and buying one tomorrow, but I really don't think the battery is t

Hi! I just built my first system, and I've been trying to iron out a couple of wrinkles. One is that sometimes at POST, I get a beep code error. It's a low, long beep and the normal, higher, short beep. Usually, the long bios checksum beep is before the short one, but not always. Once or twice, I've gotten a long beep, short beep, then a long beep again. I looked in my motherboard manual - Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P - and it says a short beep and long beep is a memory or motherboard error. It does not say if the order matters, and it doesn't list them in the other order, so I'm bios checksum error assuming it doesn't matter. I removed my memory and traded slots, making sure they were very well seated. A few reboots later (a couple of days), I got the error again (I didn't always get the error on boot). Yesterday, a new error I had never heard of came up. During boot, the screen was black and it said: WARNING: Main BIOS Checksum Error! Retrieving recovery source from HPA.................... BIOS Auto-Recovering............................. and then it rebooted, and was fine. I looked up the error, and found that flashing to current BIOS version was recommended. I've done this before, on another computer, but it isn't something I like doing, and I do it only with much fear and trembling. :) So I've been reading about properly flashing with Q-Flash, since I've seen that @BIOS isn't recommended. I looked up my motherboard on Gigabyte's site, and found that there are two newer BIOS versions for it. Mine is F4. Now there are both F5 and F7. This is my question: Are the updates in F5 also contained in F7? In other words, do I have to flash with F5 first, and then F7, or can I just do F7? I want to do this right, and

Sourav Active Member Adept Joined: Mar 4, 2006 Messages: 309 Likes Received: 25 Hey Fellas! Need your expert opinion on this issue I've been facing since last night. My age old PC config goes like this: E8400 C2D @ 3.0Ghz Gigabyte GA-EP31-DS3L 2GB Transcend DDR2 3TB's of space. Corsair CX 430 CM690 Now, since last night, the damn thing won't go past this screen I have tried pretty much everything there is under the sun. BIOS reset using jumpers, Q-Flash, power drain, New CMOS battery, but I just can't boot to the desktop. Every time, after POST, the system gets stuck on this screen, and then restarts. This keeps going on in a loop. Can you guys shed some light on this issue? I am all out of options at this time. Thanks fellas!
