Edit Reason: Mor information about the error ) I'm starting with the version 3.0.0 of Codeigniter. One of the new features the manual defines that the error pages now is in the folder "view". My intention was: customising the 404 error to use both localhost and the site. However, when I try call to to call the funciton base_url() in my error_404.php, I receive this message: "Call to undefined function base_url()"; How can I call the funcions of the helper Url in the error pages by default? Do I need to create a Controller to do it? When I call the function show_404(); it works. For instance: http://www.jhonatanoliveira.com.br/a (if I inform the letter 'a', the Controller calls the show_404() function. Obs: I've call to undefined modified the routes.php to allow it). But in an incorrect url, an error appears: For instance: http://www.jhonatanoliveira.com.br/css/s...rap.min.cs Find Reply gadelat Member Posts: 128 Threads: 3 Joined: Feb 2015 Reputation: 6 #2 04-02-2015, 01:31 PM add url helper to autoloader Find Reply jhonatan4878 Junior Member Posts: 2 Threads: 1 Joined: Apr 2015 Reputation: 0 #3 04-02-2015, 01:54 PM (04-02-2015, 01:31 PM)gadelat Wrote: add url helper to autoloader By default I've set my autoloader with the url helper. are you? Hope you are fine. Now, I am going to show how to recover a Fatal Error in codeigniter. In codeigniter, sometime you will face some fatal error like the below- Fatal error: Call to undefined function base_url() If you face that kind of fatal error, then you have to understand this is for base_ulr() function only, nothing else. You know, base_url() is function is based on url at codeigniter. That's why, you have to mentioned the url in your controller or autoload.php file. I suggest to put url in your autoload file. Thats why you have to go to your codeigniter directory and open /system/application/config/autoload.php file. Now, find out the $autoload[‘helper'] = array(); line. It can be 54 no line. (Currently I am using the CI version 1.7.3). Then you have to put down the url into array(). You code will like the below- $autoload[‘helper'] = array(‘url'); Now, save your file and run your controller file by the browser. Hope, it's solve out now. Thanks for reading. Bye.
