I have modified my httpd.conf file like my book says (so add these lines: LoadModule php5_module C:/WebSite/PHP//php5apache2.dll AddType application/x-httpd-php .phtml .php ) But when I try to start apache, I get this error: Syntax error on line 129 of httpd.conf Cannot load C:/WebSite/PHP/php5apache2.dll onto server. definitely in the specified directory. I am new to this, have I done something wrong? Help appreciated :) EDIT: I actually got the "tumbleweed" badge for this question. Is anyone going to bother looking at it? php apache dll share|improve this question edited Apr 3 '13 at 18:01 asked Aug 27 '12 at 10:29 imulsion 3,73493268 1 I would try to change it like this: LoadModule php5_module "C:/WebSite/PHP/php5apache2.dll"Also, you need to ensure that apache user has an access to that file. –Viktor S. The offending line was LoadModule php5_module "C:/php/php5apache2_4.dll" and the error was "... line 129 ... The specified module could not be found." (Yes - I checked that this file existed and all users had access to it!) I downgraded the PHP to PHP 5.4 (5.4.16) VC9 - making only one change [see below - they seem to have changed the name of the file - between versions] - and it worked fine! LoadModule php5_module "C:/php/php5apache2_2.dll" This is a pretty simple fix. I'm not sure why this

Cannot Load Php5apache2_4.dll Into Server %1 Is Not A Valid Win32 Application
Oct 2011Posts: 2 Posted: Tue 25 Oct '11 22:09 Post subject: Syntax error cannot load php5apache2_2.dll into server Hello I need help please with php running on Vista . I receive the following error when http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12140248/error-setting-up-php-and-apache-dll-file-could-not-be-found starting or reloading Apache: Syntax error on line 969 of C:/Dev/Progs/Apache/Apache2/config/httpd.conf: Cannot load C:/Dev/Progs/php/php5apache2_2.dll into server: The specified module could not be found. I installed the latest version of Apache and it worked fine before installing PHP VC9x86 Thread Safe. My httpd.config has following lines: #BEGIN PHP INSTALLER EDITS - REMOVE ONLY ON UNINSTALL PHPIniDir "C:/Dev/Progs/php/" LoadModule php5_module "C:/Dev/Progs/php/php5apache2_2.dll" #END PHP INSTALLER EDITS - REMOVE ONLY ON UNINSTALL and the php5apache2_2.dll https://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?t=4344 file is located in the correct folder, C:/Dev/Progs/php. Attempted fixes with no success : 1. uninstalled and reinstalled VC9x86 Thread Safe 2. uninstalled VC9x86 Thread Save and installed VC6x86 Thread Safe 3. uninstalled VC6x86 Thread Save and installed VC9x86 Thread Safe removing Curl, OpenSSL and PostgreSQL extensions. 4. Extracted php5apache2_2.dll from zip file and replaced file in php folder. 5. Reran the installer and selected the option to repair. What do I need to do to get Apache working with php module? AFAIK there is no VC6 version from PHP 5.3 or do you still use 5.2? Back to top zacherytaylorsmithJoined: 25 Oct 2011Posts: 2 Posted: Thu 27 Oct '11 21:35 Post subject: Hello James Blond. I downloaded apache from the official site: http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi version •2.2.21 (released 2011-09-13). Php was downloaded from the official site also: http://windows.php.net/download/ and you are right VC9 is 5.3 and VC6 is 5.2. I tried using both and had the exact same error with each. I currently have 5.3 VC9x86 Thread Safe installed. P.S. what does AFAIK mean? Back to top SteffenModeratorJoined: 15 Oct 2005Posts: 2411Location: Hilvers
Using PHP & MySQL. The status bar of the Apache Service Monitor window does not show the version of PHP that I've got. Apache has a neat little option: an error log. In it, I found the https://www.sitepoint.com/community/t/help-apache-cannot-find-php-i-have-error-log-info/14127 following two messages:1. httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 492 of C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot http://serverfault.com/questions/286062/apache-start-failing-after-apache-config-modifications-showing-syntax-error-ca load C:/PHP/php5apache2_2.dll into server: The specified module could not be found.2. You are using Apache on Windows, which version of PHP did you download from php.net? There are a few that aren't compatible with Apache. http://windows.php.net/download/ See the note in the left hand column, "If you are using PHP with Apache 1 or Apache2 from apache.org you need to use the VC6 cannot load php5apache2_2.dll versions of PHP" RGeiger 2012-04-05 20:49:38 UTC #4 Mike_GoDaddy said: Where did you install PHP to on the server? I am loading everything on a laptop that I'm using to go back and forth to a college class. Specifically, I downloaded the PHP folder directly to the C: drive as Kevin Yank's book suggests. I thought that it should go into the Program Files folder of the C: drive, but that's not what his book said to do. I clicked on the PHP folder, and some of the files say php5 (php5.dll, php5apache2_2.dll, php5apache2.dll, and so on), and underneath they say 5.2.17.17, so I guess I have version 5.2. I clicked on the Zip link and extracted the files, but I'm not sure about Thread Safe. There was a newer version of PHP on their site, but that is not what Kevin's book said to use, so I went for the version he suggested. Apache Software Foundation folder is in Program Files folder of C: drive. It's version 2.2. I am just learning about MySQL, PHP, and Apache in a Server Side Scripting class. This stuff is a little foreign to me. I only know how to write basic HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. Thank you. Mike_GoDaddy 2012-04-05 21:56:39 UTC #5 You may want to attempt to reinstall PHP from here. I am working on a 64-bit system running Windows 7 professional with service pack 1. I copied the working php5 installation directory from teammates, copied the necessary .dll files from inside php5 installation folder (like they were in the working setup of teammates) to my windows/system32/. Apache server started successfully with the default apache config (httpd.conf) file. I was able to access localhost in browser. But php code was not parsing. I noticed no such line like the following in the apache config file:- # PHP5 module LoadModule php5_module D:/php5/php5apache2_2.dll If I add this line, apache server start fails. Running test configuration gives the following error - httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 60 of C:/Program Files (x86)/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load D:/php5/php5apache2_2.dll into server: The specified procedure could not be found. But the php5apache2_2.dll file is there in the specified location and I have given all permissions to the current system user to the php5 installation directory. The same line also appears in the apache error log. Another thing here is that I am not sure when exact
