Look for this line: ;extension=php_mysql.dll Remove the ; https://www.sitepoint.com/community/t/phpmyadmin-cannot-load-mysql-extension/5642 in front of it, will look like this: extension=php_mysql.dll Now look for this line: extension_dir = "c:\php\ext" ext represent your extension directory, change it according to need and installation. At the mean time you need to enable mbstring and curl modules as well by uncommenting the following lines on your php.ini file. extension=php_mbstring.dllextension=php_curl.dll Restart Apache now, and you will be OK. Anyway you can try this at the same time.http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html PHPycho 2009-11-20 08:40:27 UTC #3 gwitek said: I have scoured this forum for hours and found problems SIMILAR to mine, tried a LOT of solutions and still have the same problem. Go into your php.ini and enable the extension that loads the mysql.dll library. Set your Windows ‘Path' to point to the directory where the mysql.dll is cannot load sitting. Restart Windows. The solution (and more details) can be found in this video: Tip: Try the full-screen mode for the video .. it's pretty nice. I hope you find this useful.
