list them as: 1) The Canon MP150 is easy to refill 2) Its cartridges canon mp145 e5 error fix are easily available (At least in Mauritius, 2008) 3) No hassles, it prints flawlessly (unlike HP,Epson) 4) The printer can be reset canon e5 error via a series of button presses. (unlike HP,Epson. Some Epson users were so frustrated that an Epson reset utility had to be created. However, it supports only some select models. I am deeply sorry they do not http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f109/e5-error-canon-pixma-mp150-printer-635768.html own a Canon MP150) See below for more details how to reset the MP150. 5) The Canon CL-41 cartridge for the MP150 is just an ink tank. Unlike most Epson and HP (and some Lexmark) cartridges which have and embedded chip, the Canon ink tank is easy to refill. A chip on a cartridge is normally used by the manufacturer to ensure that the customer uses only genuine ink. Also, when an attempt https://digitalgraphy.wordpress.com/2008/11/19/refill-and-reset-the-canon-mp150-printer/ to refill the cartridge is detected, the printer posts a message on the screen informing the user that his/her warranty is void. These tactics are usually for commercial ends to ensure that the company continues to earn money from accessories and replacement cartridges. 6) Its just..a Canon. Since now, I have noticed only one downside from the Canon MP150. It will refuse to print in grayscale when the colour cartridge has been removed, even though you choose Print Black only from the Canon Preferences/Maintenance Tab. I have searched for any possible hack to force the apparatus to print in black, but in vain. How to reset the Canon MP150 after a refill (Step 10 concerns refill; instructions below the steps): Method1 (Safe Factory Method): 1) Disconnect the printer's power outlet 2) Press and hold the power button while connecting the power outlet back. 3) While still holding down the power button, press the reset button twice.(red circle with a triangle) 4) Release the power button The printer takes about 10 seconds to show the number 0. 5) Press + to change the value from 0 to 1. 6) When this value is 1, press colour button; this will light up two leds. One is for plain paper and the other for photo paper. At th
or make copy of any thing. I have both cartiridges in there correctly. I have had the printer for two years with no problems. However, recently I bought a new black ink cartridge (usually I do refills) and kept the colour one in there - Now I http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/60926 get the error message. When I take both of them out and put it in correctly again, the black one is recognized but the colour one is not.Can the problem be solved without buying a new colour cartridge - I am certain that there is http://jjean.blogspot.com/2011/09/canon-pixma-mp150-error.html plenty of ink still in there. And if I do have to buy a new colour cartridge, would that garuntee to get the error away? I had no trouble printing for a week or so but then this error occurred and won't go away - which canon pixma means it won't let me print. Full error screen bascially says "Ink cartridges cannot be recognized". I think it has got to do with the new ink cartridge I bought and the old colour one I left in there. Any solutions? Respond to this 0 I have this problem currently and have studied all the possible solutions.A lot of answers mix up empty ink levels with the error E5. E5 is a cartridge problem. Empty ink levels showing empty when the cartridge is full can be cured by a factory reset. It canon pixma mp150 seems to me that the nasty people at Cannon have some built in obsolescence in the cartridge firmware; some time in the past I couldn't get to a refill shop so I had to buy at Cannons extortionate price. So I have two sets of cartridges one older than the other. A few months after my last refill, for no reason, after I switched the printer on I had an error light on the printer with the two cartridge lights flashing and showing an error 5. I had them refilled as normal and the error still showed; I used an MP tool to reset. Afterwards I carried out a factory reset, to no avail. Finally I put the two younger cartridges in that were empty, carried out a factory reset and re-booted the printer. Because of the reset when checking in maintenance it showed the ink fill as adequate as against empty. I put the black full and younger cartridge in, carried out a reset and had perfect black printing. Replaced the black with the old full one and then swapped the suspect colour cartridge. The E5 error returned.Meaning I had either a dead cartridge or a deliberate firmware error, either way the cartridge was US.I have now got to return to the shop with one full useless cartridge one full usable cartridge plus two empty usable ones and pour my heart out to do an ink swap. The factory reset is below and the MP tool is a rigorous process involving downloading the tool and extra software that will recognise *.php. Disconnect the power supply to the printer by removing the p
use this machine as scanner without printing. Thanks to FixYahttp://www.fixya.com/support/t545498-error_e5when the error E5 is ocured it means the COLOR cartridge is either the WRONG cartridge, or you have a balck cartridge in the color cartridges spot. Please verify you have the correct cartridges in the correct locations, and that you may not have installed the black in the colors location. Please let me know if this fixes your problem. Thanks //Dhttp://www.fixya.com/support/t1781424-canon_mp145_stop_error_e5_use_scannerTHIS SOLUTION FOR PEOPLE WHO CANNOT RESET THEIR OWN PRINTER LIKE MEhi, now i got a solution how to SCAN if your printer have E-5 error or something.
