Most likely it has a missing reference. Use the free tool at http://www.add-ins.com/addins_information_lister.htm to remove both XLA and COM add-ins until you find the one with the problem. distmon" shows up when its closed. This is because "pdfmaker.dot" and "pdfmaker.xla" are in the microsoft office startup and microsoft excel startup folder respectively. To remove this follow the steps: Delete pdfmaker.dot ( for word ) 1. Search the file and delete. 2. Locate the file in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Startup 3.C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Microsoft\word\Startup Delete pdfmaker.xla ( for excel ) 1. Search the file and delete. 2. Locate the file inC:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Xlstart 3.C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\Xlstart These files can be either in both or at one location. Once they are deleted, the error will no longer show up.
