Compile Error In Hidden Module Sheet1
Some of the cases where I've seen (not personally) this error compile error in hidden module: hstbarpublic message come up: only on one machine with, but not on another, when issuing a "Compile compile error in hidden module word 2013 and Save All Modules" only on one machine with, but not on another, when opening a particular form, while a recompile works. when making MDE files from the https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/307410 UI (most common) only under runtime environment (not on development machine) or using /runtime option (second most common) in Autoexec macro on a Access 2 -> 97 database in replicated databases using /runtime option. The complete message is: A protected module can't be displayed. This error has the following cause and solution: There is a http://access.mvps.org/access/bugs/bugs0020.htm compilation error in the code of the specified module, but it can't be displayed because the project is protected. Unprotect the project, and then run the code again to view the error. There have been several alternatives suggested, all of them have worked in one or more cases. I can only suggest going through each item suggested here till one of them fixes the problem. If you have a subroutine or function named the same as a module, rename one of them and try again. Decompile the database, and then import all the objects into a new database. If the database is a converted Access 97 from version 2.0, uncheck DAO 2.5/3.5 Compatibility Library and select DAO 3.5x Library instead. Recompile the database. In few cases, this was caused by Missing References. If you're using DAO methods such as CreateWorkspace, OpenDatabase, CommitTrans etc., for example, DBEngine.CreateWorkspace, DBEngine.OpenDatabase, Workspaces(0).CommitTrans. © 1998-2010, Dev Ashish & Arvin Meyer, All rights reserved. Access 97 application that has been running successfully for about a year. It's a split database with a front end on each users C: http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/access-97-compile-error-in-hidden-module.2469027/ drive and the backend on a network location. It opens with a password form called "frmPassword". I'm trying to deploye a new version of the application (frmPassword is unchanged). The application opens correctly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taeQkJ5THvQ when connecting to a desktop front end but everytime one of my laptop users tries she gets "Compile Error in hidden module: frmPassword" Can anyone explain this to me and then what compile error I need to do about it. Thanks much for your help. Dave Guest, Mar 29, 2006 #1 Advertisements Guest Guest You have a 'references' problem. Open a copy of the application in design mode on the laptop, open a module, and check Tools, References. Published on Jul 31, 2013Using Windows XP service pack 2 and getting this bug when trying to generate XML using ITR workbook I must admit that this was a strange bug for i personally didn't face it since i have a service pack 3 for windows XP but few people using service pack 3 also complain of this bug .One of my subscriber's while trying to fill the return (excel workbook ITR 1 )was getting this message .After analysing the message he got via his send email screenshot and going through his comments , i understood that it was not easy for me to replicate the problem because it seemed to be a operating system issue and in my parent laptop ,it didn't seem a good idea to virtualise (create a seperate system for this version of windows XP),so i virtualised my other laptop and yes the bug did came in service pack 2 , .Basically the VB coding done vide modules used to generate the Extended mark up document don't compile properly with versions of windows XP OS lesser than service pack 3 version...so people using windows XP service pack 2 might face this problem ,because when i installed windows XP service pack 2 in one of my 5 l
