Nicholas Guest Microsoft Visual Basic Compile error in hidden module; AZWizard Modul. How do I fix this problem. Nicholas, Nov 29, 2007 #1 Advertisements Terry Farrell Guest You have an incompatible add-in and it is probably from a company called Dennison. Uninstall it http://www.office-forums.com/threads/compile-error-in-hidden-module-azwizardmodul-how-do-i-fix-it.1651072/ and Word will be OK again. -- Terry Farrell - MS Word MVP "Nicholas" <> wrote in message news:... > Microsoft Visual Basic > Compile error in hidden module; AZWizard Modul. > How do I fix this problem. I installed an Avery address macro which is not compatible with Word 2007. I can't uninstall it. Just spent 45 minutes on the phone with Dell and they were compile error of no help. Any help will be appreciated. Macros (if it is a 'macro' that is causing your problems) exist in Documents or Templates. When you start Word, one or more Templates are loaded and it is likely that the troublesome macro compile error in is located in one of them. I suspect that what you want to do is remove the template but the trick is finding the right one. They are listed in the Templates and AddIns dialog which is available off the Document template Button in the Developer tab in the Ribbon (if you don't see this tab go to Office Button > Word Options and check the "show developer tab" checkbox). The Dialog will list your templates and you will have to use instinct to decide which one is the Avery one. The Dialog isn't big enough to show you the full path but, by default, it will probably be in "C:\users\(userid)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\Startup" (in XP, IIRC, it is Documents and Settings\(userid)\Application data\Microsoft\etc). Close Word, go to this location, and delete the template. If this doesn't help can you give some more information - how you installed and what does show in the templates dialog, for example. -- Enjoy, Tony "GMM" wrote in message news:... > Terry, > > I have the same problem. Guest When Word 2007 opens I get "AZWizardModul". Does anyone know how to fix this? At the top of the error box is "Microsoft Visual Basic". I tried to "Repair" using the original disk, but that didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks Jack Howe Jack Howe, Dec 19, 2007 #1 Advertisements garfield-n-odie [MVP] Guest Actually, my crystal ball says you probably get something like "Microsoft Visual Basic: Compile error in hidden module: AZWizardModul". Which means you probably have an older version of the Avery Dennison Label Wizard add-in for Word that is not compatible with Word 2007. Uninstall the add-in.
