I've hit through all the threads I could find, ripped up my manuals and everything else I could think of to locate why this is happening. I hate to admit that I am not keen with VB so cannot understand why this would appear. Suggestions please? Am desperate to get this sorted out. TIA! You can get to it with these steps... Alt-F11 to Open VB Editor Ctrl-R to Open the Project Explorer Pane if it is not already open Find the Icon in the tree structure under Book1 labeled "This WorkBook" and Double-Click it. If you're experiencing this upon opening a new Excel session, then there might be a problem with the template workbook you're using for new workbooks, or in Personal.xlsb. Do you experience this same problem when Excel is closed and you Open an existing workbook (from another user) by double-clicking on it? Hey, a Windows update the other day seems to be causing this error in AutoCAD. I think it is only a problem compile error in with the 2007 version of Office products that were updated (two computer are having the problem in the office but had Office 2007 updated the rest are okay and had office 2010 updated). On one of those computers I was able to do a system restore to before the update and everything is now working, however the other didn't have a restore point to go back to. I tried uninstalling all the updates but it still isn't working so I assume it did something with VBA and the references AutoCAD is trying to use. The first image is what I get when I try to run basically any command (not just custom VBA but line gives the error, quit and so on). The second image is the error I get in the actual custom project (DrawingSettings is a custom form in the project that isn't recognized for some reason). The third image is all the references used by my project, all seem to be in the right place. Is there a way to determine which reference is causing the problem or if t
installed NumXL, every time I open Excel or try to use anything on the NumXL menu, a dialog box pops up saying: "Compile error in hidden Module: Utilities or AboutBox, etc." Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google+ Date Votes 2 comments 0 Mohamad January 15, 2013 14:54 Answer: You are probably running an outdated Excel 2007 Installation. NumXL was tested with MS Excel 2007 with service pack 3 (SP3). Typically, if your computer has a Windows auto-update service enabled, then Excel will be updated automatically for you and this won't be an issue. If you have just installed MS Office 2007, you may want to download and apply the service pack. To find out more about your current installation, go to "Excel Options" and select Resources. In the event that excel installation is found outdated, the installer will prompt the user and provide him/her with information how to update excel, but it will not proceed any further with the installation.
