Published on Jul 31, 2013Using Windows XP service pack 2 https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/gg251410.aspx and getting this bug when trying to generate XML using ITR workbook I must admit that this was a strange bug for i personally didn't face it since i have a service pack 3 for windows XP but few people using service pack 3 also complain of this bug .One of my subscriber's while trying to fill the return (excel workbook ITR 1 )was getting this message .After analysing the message he got via his send email screenshot and going https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taeQkJ5THvQ through his comments , i understood that it was not easy for me to replicate the problem because it seemed to be a operating system issue and in my parent laptop ,it didn't seem a good idea to virtualise (create a seperate system for this version of windows XP),so i virtualised my other laptop and yes the bug did came in service pack 2 , .Basically the VB coding done vide modules used to generate the Extended mark up document don't compile properly with versions of windows XP OS lesser than service pack 3 version...so people using windows XP service pack 2 might face this problem ,because when i installed windows XP service pack 2 in one of my 5 laptops , i got the same error ,Firstly pressing alt +F11 opens up the visual basic editor which shows the module which the developer has coded for the excel workbook to work and generate the XML ,Since clicking the XML throws up this error , it can be presumed that the OS with which it does has some compatibility issue ,next would be be to download a patch which enhances XML generation across such bugging operating systems ,So ,being a developer i understood , that the solution then lies in enhancing the XML capacity of the OS and so my search on google for XML enhancing patches for Opreating system XP with service pack 2 started ,Of th

Hey, a Windows update the other day seems to be causing this error in AutoCAD. I think it is only a problem with the 2007 version of Office products that were updated (two computer are having the problem in the office but had Office 2007 compile error in updated the rest are okay and had office 2010 updated). On one of those computers I was able to do a system restore to before the update and everything is now working, however the other didn't have a restore point to go back to. I tried uninstalling all the updates but it still isn't working so I assume it did something with VBA and the references AutoCAD is trying to use. The first image is what I get when I try to run basically any command (not just custom VBA but line gives the error, quit and so on). The second image is the error I get in the actual custom project (DrawingSettings is a custom form in the project that isn't recognized for some reason). The third image is all the references used by my project, all seem to be in the right place. Is there a way to determine which reference is causing the problem or if the problem is bigger than that? I've also uninstalled and re-installed AutoCAD Map 3D 2011 multiple times with no luck. Solved Compile Error in Hidden Module Running Macros in Word 2010 Posted on 2011-03-16 MS Applications MS Word 2 Verified Solutions 21 Comments 3,055 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-21 I am testing Word 2010 with our current custom vba macros written for Office 2003. They are located in a template called legal.dot which loads in the Word startup folder. When I try to run any macro I get the error: Compile Error in Hidden Module THis error commonly occurs when code is incompatible with the version, platform or architecture of the application..... I know it is not the code because if I copy all of the macros into my normal.dot & run from there they all run without a problem. I have the startup folder & the folder where the templates are loading from as a trusted location source but still cannot run? Any suggestions what I can try? 0 Question by:leinig Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 30 Best Solution bySiddharthRout Ok to summarize it. In document 2010legaldm.dot Replace .Alignment = wdAlignParagraphFull with .Alignment = wdAlignParagraphCenter as the constants available are wdAlignParagraphLeft Go to Solution 21 Comments LVL 59 Overall: Level 59 MS Word 19 MS Applications 19 Message Active 2 days ago Expert Comment by:Chris Bottomley2011-03-16 Ensure all word documents / applications are closed then ... Try opening the template in word for edit. Now try and run one of the macros in another document and it should give some indication of what is happening.
