What is the form doing? Can you run it under debug. What's in the windows logs etc. What have you tried to narrow down the differences? –Preet Sangha Jun 24 '12 at 12:04 Windows Log: Out of memory, raises when form.show. simple form with 4 Tabs and each tab contains list view and 2 command buttons. –guna Samba Jun 24 '12 at 15:42 Does the problem machine have an equivalent hardware spec to the others, e.g the amount of RAM. May also be worth checking the amount of virtual memory the system has set aside. –Matt Donnan Jun 25 '12 at 10:57 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted Finally i found the solution for this issue. One specific dll (MSSTDFMT.DLL) of this project is missing in this particular machine. I have placed and registered the dll. Now it is working fine. I downloaded a profiler tool "Glowcode" and ran the application through it. It reported many leaks and I eventually got the stack information for them. But what to do now? I was surfing around and found a tutorial creating a "map document" at compile time that links memory adress to specific lines of code. The visual basic compile tutorial was for a later version of Visual Studio and I couldnt find the same settings in VB6.. SO to summarize if someone could direct me to a step by step tutorial or advise me that would be great. visual-studio debugging vb6 share|improve this question asked Jul 28 '11 at 17:23 dMO 1102416 Remember that the VB6 IDE is COMPLETELY different to visual studio. Many things that apply in VS just don't exist or have any comparison in VB6. Having said that, if you tell VB6 to create symbolic debug info when it compile, you may get a more meaningful call stack for your leaked memory. –Deanna Jul 28 '11 at 19:32 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote Destroy the objects after you used them, avoid cross references. I have seen on msdn website that the limit is some 32000 unique identifiers but I am not able to understand identifiers. Say if I have one form with 10 command buttons then do I have 1 identifier or 10 identifiers? Does labels on forms serve as identifier? Does handling a button/label click e
