I am using http://forums.devx.com/showthread.php?165033-VB6-Compiling-with-permission-denied VB6.0 service pack 6. The command I am using is dim rdoqry as new rdoquery With rdoQry Set .ActiveConnection = gConnServer .SQL = "DELETE FROM TBL_P" .LockType = rdConcurReadOnly .RowsetSize = 1 .CursorType = rdOpenForwardOnly End With The box is displayed at the "with rdoQry" line. I checked all of the references and everything looked fine. I checked to make sure the files are not read only and everything looks fine. Thanks for the help. Are you compiling to Native Code or P-Code? I don't answer coding questions via PM or Email. Please post a thread in the appropriate forum section. When instantiating the control dynamically, i.e. Set MyZipInstance = New https://xceed.com/forums/topic/Compile-Error-Permission-Denied/ Xceed Zipand using the License method, all works fine when running with the VB6 https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/20464521/Permission-denied-when-compiling-OCX.html IDE. When I come to Make the exe file I receive a "Compile Error: Permission Denied" I get the same error if I just load up the ZipUpdateSample project supplied and make exe. Any ideas, gratefully received. Regards, Mark Imported from legacy forums. Solved "Permission denied" when compiling OCX Posted on 2003-01-19 Visual Basic Classic 1 Verified Solution 11 Comments 1,337 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-25 I'm writing an OCX and using it in another project. Occasionally, I'll find a new property that I want exposed in the OCX so I'll go back and add it in. However, occasionally, I get a "Permission denied" message when I try to rebuild the OCX. This problem is solved by shutting down VB and trying again. Am I supposed to be releasing the OCX somehow? I assume that my main project (the one using the OCX) is loading it but not releasing it correctly, so that when I go back to re-compile it I get the permission denied. I'm not using a Project Group by the way. I've got code in the OCX terminate event that is setting a collection of nodes to nothing. I haven't got any other objects loaded - except a variety of controls (textboxs etc) within the oCX interface and I'm assuming that I don't have to set these to nothing?
