Compile error in hidden module : This document This document contains macros, and it works fine on another machine. I think this error began to occur after some security updates. Is this an OS or MS compile error in Word security issue? vba ms-word word-vba word-2007 share|improve this question edited Aug 13 '12 at 14:20 Gaffi 3,13162859 asked Apr 13 '12 at 7:23 ujas patel 44126 You will need to provide far more information than that for us to be able to help you, including the code in question. –Delan Azabani Apr 13 '12 at 7:27 Code is perfect because it run fine on other machine, i thing this is OS or Ms Office related issue. –ujas patel Apr 13 '12 at 7:53 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote Check the code that runs when the document is open. It is trying to use a procedure that can not find or is not defined. If you can use it correctly in some machines but in others not, then probably the machine with problems: a) Doesnt have a necesary AddIn/Library or b) Doesnt have access to the network location where the AddIn or Library is. share|improve this answer edited Apr 13 '12 at 10:45 answered Apr 13 '12 at 10:22 CaBieberach 1,28921125 I found solution from this link:http: www.lessanvaezi.com/delete-exd-files-to-fix-object-library-invalid-error/ & Error in Hidden Module Module 1/ 2/ 3 (Tax Query by Harmeet) Make Knowledge Free SubscribeSubscribedUnsubscribe40,52340K Loading... Published on Jul 31, 2013Using Windows XP service pack 2 and getting this bug when trying to generate XML using ITR workbook I must admit that this was a strange bug for i personally didn't face it since i have a service pack 3 for windows XP but few people using service pack 3 also complain of this bug .One of my subscriber's while trying to fill the return (excel workbook ITR 1 )was getting this message .After analysing the message he got via his send email screenshot and going through his comments , i understood that it was not easy for me to replicate the problem because it seemed to be a operating system issue and in my parent laptop ,it didn't seem a good idea to virtualise (create a seperate system for this version of windows XP),so i virtualised my other laptop and yes the bug did came in service pack 2 , .Basically the VB coding done vide modules used to generate the Extended mark up document don't compile properly with versions of windows XP OS lesser than service pack 3 version...so people using windows XP service pack 2 might face this problem ,because when i installed windows XP service pack 2 in one of my 5 laptops , i got the same error ,Firstly pressing alt +F11 opens up the visual basic editor which shows the module which the developer has coded for the excel workbook to work and generate the XML ,Since clicking the XML throws up this error , it can be presumed that the OS with which it does has some compatibility issue ,next would be be to download a patch which enhances XML generation across such bugging operating systems ,So ,being a developer i understood , that the solution then lies in enhancing the XML capacity of the OS and so my search on google for XML enhancing patches for Opreating system XP with service pack 2 started ,Of the variousCompile Error In Hidden Module Link Mac
