Reason MathType includes an add-in for Microsoft Word compile error in which adds the MathType menu and toolbar/ribbon to Microsoft Word. This add-in contains macros written in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), the macro language used by Microsoft Word. The add-in is placed in Microsoft Word's designated Startup folder. AutoExec is the macro that Microsoft Word automatically executes when launching. MTLib is a library of MathType macros used by the toolbar/tab and MathType menu in Microsoft Word. If there is a problem with your computer's VBA environment, when you launch Microsoft Word, you may receive error messages. Solution To correct this problem, you need to make sure that Microsoft Office components upon which the MathType Commands for Word rely are functioning correctly.
