installing postfix etc. to switch to hardened. I emerged the hardened kernel (hardened-dev-sources) and put "hardened pic pie" and then build the hardened toolchain as described here: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/hardened/pax-quickstart.xml while doing "emerge -e world" the compiler stopped building grub and i got the following message from the compiler: >checking if C symbols get an underscore after compilation... no >checking whether objcopy works for absolute addresses... configure: error: >i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc cannot link at http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?28335 address 2000 > >!!! Please attach the config.log to your bug report: >!!! /var/tmp/portage/grub-0.94-r1/work/grub-0.94/config.log > >!!! ERROR: sys-boot/grub-0.94-r1 failed. >!!! Function econf, Line 485, Exitcode 0 >!!! econf failed Since the error ocured after compiling 166 of 179 packets i compiled the remaining packets without problems and the system is working fine. Is the issue https://www.mail-archive.com/gentoo-hardened@gentoo.org/msg00087.html about grub known? ok, here is die config.log: This file contains any messages produced by compilers while running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake. But It's not what I like too much. It configure error will be better if 'E2B' will enumerate all \_ISO\mythemes\xxx.cfg files automatically whenever I select'Change Theme.mnu'optin within from 'E2B Menu'. And will show all xxx.cfg files within 'E2B Menu' screen so that we can choose any theme within from 'E2B Menu'with the help of Up-Down buttons instead of choosing themes by typing numbers (1-4). Can you please provide me a code which will first enumerate all \_ISO\mythemes\xxx.cfg files and then will show all configure error gcc xxx.cfg files within 'E2B Menu' screen in order to select a theme with the help of Up-Down buttons. Thanks in Advance Regards.....
