me resolve this connection error #1088 due to deprecated/m Page 1 of 1 New Topic/Question Reply 3 Replies - 5961 Views - Last Post: 16 February 2010 - 11:03 PM #1 Charlie IronGleet D.I.C Head Reputation: 2 Posts: 225 Joined: 29-January 09 Flex 3 / PHP / MYSQL Blues Posted 30 January 2010 - 04:38 PM Hello, I will be brief: I am working from the Flex 3 bible by David Gassner, Chapter 29, "Integrating Flex Applications With PHP". I am using Flex Builder 3. I have had this same issue with lynda.com training video projects. I have both imported myself and also hand coded the project sample from chapter 29. It is available for download at www.wiley.com/go/flex3 - and I have also http://www.justskins.com/forums/data-wizard-error-1088-a-85789.html attached it to this post. I am using WAMP server as my localhost.: Version 2.0 When I run the application I always get a "COnnection Error: Error #1088: The markup in the document following the root element must be well formed." My version of PHP with wamp is a bit higher than the one the book presumes. My current WAMP uses php 5.3.0 and Apache 2.2.11 The book uses Wamp with apache 2.2.6 and php 5.2.5 I have been http://www.dreamincode.net/forums/topic/152943-flex-3-php-mysql-blues/ trying to resolve this for hours. When I try a similar exercise from the lynda.com Flex Air video using XAMP I get a similar error only it tells me the failure is due to deprecated elements. Obviously, something somewhere is mal-formed, perhaps deprecated but I lack the expertise to dope it out... at least by Monday HELP - I thought this would be cake and would have a completed project by Monday!!!! Thanks in advance - you guys are always helpful here, Charlie IronGleet Attached File(s) chapter29.zip (44.98K) Number of downloads: 272 Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0 Back to top MultiQuote Quote + Reply Replies To: Flex 3 / PHP / MYSQL Blues #2 Charlie IronGleet D.I.C Head Reputation: 2 Posts: 225 Joined: 29-January 09 Re: Flex 3 / PHP / MYSQL Blues Posted 30 January 2010 - 04:49 PM I must not forget to mention I am using Windows 7 ultimate edition.
